Tony Blair’s condemnation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan – based, he wrote, upon an “imbecilic political slogan about ending the ‘forever wars’”, which just happens to be what Joe Biden ran on in 2020 – marks the complete transformation of elite perceptions of the Biden presidency. The establishment consensus, desperate to be rid of Donald Trump, was that the veteran Democrat would be a return to stability. Instead, the haunting scenes of chaos at Kabul airport have led to denunciation even by Left-wing admirers – by almost every faction in the foreign policy debate, in fact, from those who think we should stay to those who believe we should never have gone there.
The United States’ tawdry, hopelessly mishandled withdrawal matters to the entire Western community because it has grim humanitarian consequences, Islamists have gained a base of operations and our global competitors are emboldened.
Mr Biden says he inherited an agreement to leave from Mr Trump, and that delay would have meant a restoration of hostilities; Mr Trump counters that his deal came with conditions, and errors in implementation can certainly be laid at the present administration’s door. The intelligence regarding Taliban strength was wrong, though some did predict a speedy unravelling of Afghanistan’s erstwhile Potemkin administration, so Mr Biden might be excused that count. But why did he decide to push ahead with military withdrawal before guaranteeing all the civilians were out? Why leave behind mountains of supplies and equipment? And why not consult properly with America's international partners?
Mr Biden told allies in June that the US would retain enough of a security presence in Afghanistan to allow friendly countries to go on operating in Kabul, and after the crisis began, he dodged attempts by the UK Prime Minister to call him for around 36 hours

Damning indictment.
Evacuation from Afghanistan...
Hope and pray that the illusion of the left held by millions of brainwashed Americans will also be shattered.
Sorry UK rag, we were never more stable than when Trump was
President. Howling unhinged tds suffering liberals did not mean the country was unstable, no more than One screaming, temper tantrum throwing spoiled rotten person means everyone is a temper tantrum throwing spoiled rotten person.
We cant help it if the left are petulant hysterical brats. Having Biden in office as a faux president proves that they are still petulant hysterical brats. Thank goodness that there is a huge majority of sane Republicans to balance everything out still. Just take a look at the massive crowds Trump is still leading... there is still hope.
Everyone knew everything was gonna go to crap when Biden got in. Only delusional hysterical liberals thought things would change for the better. Everyone else knew better.
With all of that weight on the stairway, Hank Johnson wants to know why it doesn’t tip over.
I hope Biden is forced to resign anyway - the sooner the better.
Here’s my reasoning:
1) Biden’s weakness is a huge vulnerability for the Left. His resignation will score team MAGA some “points”, so to speak. If he doesn’t resign it will be like your football team’s offense gaining 80 yards but failing to get into the end zone. These “points” matter because they create political momentum.
2) If Biden resigns in the midst of all this chaos in the ME, at our southern border, inflationary fears and Covid resurgence, Harris will not fare any better than Biden. She won’t be able to handle it either. Then we can score some more points.
3) I don’t think we need to worry about Pelosi. If Biden resigns, Harris picks a VP and that person is next on line - not Pelosi. They will probably pick someone like Susan Rice or some other Obama Marxist that has never been elected. This will piss voters off and score us some more points.
4) Whoever they pick - it doesn’t matter - they are going to fail, because the Democrat party is being run by Marxist radicals who don’t even want peace and prosperity. Their agenda is division and destruction - they want our Great Experiment to fail. They want us to give up on the idea of a self-governing Constitutional Republic and submit to their tyranny. That’s why it looks like they are bungling everything - they aren’t they are getting exactly the results they want.
So, I say let Biden resign, and let them burn through a series of puppet leaders - let the American people see what failure looks like - but let’s not stretch the process over twelve years - let’s get it over with.
Blair and Bush fell for imbecilic slogans of their own. The problem with our involvement in Afghanistan was that it was hard to tell if it was an occupation or a police action or a forever war. If there were no casualties, it seemed like policies were working. Then hell would break loose all over again.
Why not? Just asking. It seems that maintaining a presence and air base at a minimum in Central Asia would have been advantageous.

― Emile Cammaerts
The further they turn from God, the larger and more consuming those false beliefs need to be.
Being right next to Iran was surely advantageous.
With current lethal military technology, feet on the ground will be obsolete.
Warfare will be done with drones and robotic warriors controlled from desktops in miles deep bunkers.
