Former Congressman and Texas GOP Allen West has always had a contentious relationship with the press. Leftwing media tends to despise his pro-America, pro-freedom attitude even more than they dislike most Republicans. He’s a patriot and a conservative who is running against a RINO, Greg Abbott, for governor of Texas. That means he’s a target.
Mainstream media went even lower than usual when reporting on West yesterday and today. Reports that his wife was arrested for a DWI with children in her car was a bombshell that was simply too juicy for them to pass up. But while they generally highlighted the sordid details in their headlines and first few paragraphs, most buried near the bottom the most important fact in the case. Some omitted the fact altogether.
As it turned out, Angela West had not been drinking. According to her husband, she passed her breathalyzer but was arrested anyway based on suspicions of the arresting officer. She was released from Lew Sterrett Justice Center after submitting to a blood test to prove her innocence.

That would be nice, but they'll dig in their heels and get all graphic about bizarre behavior of some sort, and she'll end up damaged. A quick apology, a dignified acceptance and move on.
Are there are body cams? That could sink em quick.

It’s textbook ‘racial profiling’
Most jurisdictions permit the driver to be detained, ie. not formally arrested, pending breath and/or blood testing. Negative tests or below-limits tests eliminate the DWI/DUI but can result in reckless or hazardous driving. These can be argued in court, not in jail!
Also, it is very UNWISE to permit an unrestricted vehicle search. Any such request should be a warning to call for legal assistance. Require a search warrant which specifies probable cause and details what is being searched for.
As always, be polite but firm to the stopping officer. Do not do more than smile, show licenses and answer yes/no or minimum response.

This was definitely wrong. I am completely for Abbott but I like West (he lives nearby). I wish West had stayed as chairman of the Texas Republicans where he was needed.
It sadly is a criminal, criminal country that we live in right now!
I put a tank in West’s backyard a few years ago.
Diesel for a genset.
He nor she were at home at the time. I don’t think they were moved in yet.
She passed her field sobriety test.
She passed her blood draw test.
Allen posted her PF Chang’s receipt showing she only had lemonade.
The police chief talked to the local news and was disappointed West had taken to social media to protest stating anyone who would do that, should not be Governor.
Total set up.
