it can make people sicker faster because it replicates faster. If you get sicker faster your body gets exhausted faster. An exhausted body can’t fight to breathe. Mexico’s at 10% mortality, Peru at 8%. What is saving seniors in the USA is vaccinations (breakthrough avg age 72). The seriously ill bracket has dropped to 30s-50’s unvaccinated. The virus has immune escape devices but youth plays a role in survival. So overall, less deaths now than pre-vaccine, but more serious disease, disability and deaths in the lower age brackets.

True. Downside risk of jabs at 50+ is marginal vs risk of covid. In both cases the risk is relatively low, but its there.
Now, children and fertile women are another matter entirely. Risk of covid is extremely low, vs vaccine risk that is completely unknown for long term effects. Not worth it.

I’d also add that Delta typically sheds much higher virion quantities than earlier variants. So, Delta infections are likely to start off with a much larger viral load to begin with, than earlier variants..

But I’ can’t say it’ll work for all
A real vax is needed....not one where 3-5 boosters and counting are called on
