Putin plays Biden with gas price hike in Europe

Russia fueled President Joe Biden's global credibility implosion on Thursday, hiking its gas export price projections for Europe.

For Biden, the timing could hardly be worse. As allies lament the president's apparently proud ineptitude in Afghanistan, Vladimir Putin has arrived to gut Biden's foreign policy further. The Russian state-owned Gazprom energy giant has announced a 30% hike to its 2021 price projection for long-term contracts with European non-former Soviet states. The new estimate is $269.60 per 1,000 cubic meters.

It follows a previous increase announced in late June. Further clarifying Putin's intent to play Biden and German Chancellor Angela Merkel for fools, Gazprom has refused to increase its gas supply substantially through Ukraine. In August, the Russian energy giant booked only 650,000 cubic meters of additional gas per day. Ukraine had offered 23 times that additional capacity.

It's an utterly predictable blow.

First, Biden betrayed Ukraine and NATO's eastern flank by gifting Putin his Nord Stream 2 pipeline . Next, Biden and Merkel agreed to a Monty Python-esque deal that ensures Ukraine's vulnerability to Russian aggression.

Now, Putin is laughing as he dangles extortion amid the approaching European winter.

The leader of the free world isn't looking very credible.

Get used to it. Democrats have made their beds. I’m getting as far away from them as I can, because they will starve and burn.
I know this was a post on international issues, but in a matter of months the USA went from somewhat independent, to being dependent just by Democrat party actions. So problems in Europe, middle east, and Asia can now cripple us in very short order. Our Democrats and their friends know this.

Europeans congratulated Joe Biden on being elected the 46th president of the United States on Saturday after days of waiting for a winner to be called.

“America is back!” tweeted Anne Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris, shortly after news organisations called the presidency for Joe Biden.

“While we are about to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, this victory symbolises our need to act together more than ever, in view of climate emergency,” she said.

Biden has said that he will rejoin the Paris agreement on his first day in office.

Higher gas prices, less gas used. Euros are big on saving Gaia so this should be popular. EVs for everyone!

Looks like Putin and Gazprom are smart but the opponents are not. They exercise “Russia First” policy.
BTW is it a capitalism or not now? If yes then Gazprom has all right to make a money as much as possible hasn’t it?. More money it makes is better for Russian interest and Gazprom investors and staff. Down with Europe and with Ukraine)))...

—”$269.60 per 1,000 cubic meters.”
If my quick ciphering is correct???

I would pay ~$230.00 per 1,000 cubic meters, delivered all tax included. ($0.63 /Therm)

And all because of Biden’s inflationary policies.

The 2020 election steal was the decisive battle to defeat America and we all lost, even the party “winners” who just don’t know it yet, but I think they might be starting to suspect.

Our “new” masters have been very methodical, audacious and often brilliant through these many years, presidents and scandals to have pulled this off, especially since they got so many of us to help them do it.

They couldn’t have done it without us. Even now.
