Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) on Thursday defended his statewide school mask mandate amid surges of COVID-19 cases caused by the highly contagious delta variant, saying that sending unmasked children too young to be vaccinated into a classroom is like “holding the world's largest chickenpox party.”
Beshear, who has previously made the chickenpox comparison in advocating for mask requirements, told CNN's Kate Bolduan that he believes he did the “right” thing by signing the executive order last week.
"Sending unmasked, unvaccinated kids into a poorly ventilated classroom is like holding the world's largest chickenpox party, except instead of chickenpox it is the third-leading cause of death last year,” he said.

Actually that might be a good analogy. Let the kids get natural immunity before they are old enough to die from the disease.... or the vaccine.

I wanted my kids to get chicken pox. I looked for a chicken pox party but there were none. Had to resort to the vaccine which most definitely has no guarantee that it lasts a lifetime. That was per my MD
We saw an outbreak of chicken pox among adults prob bio attack I never saw people that uncomfortable for days on end and I am a nurse.
What’s wrong with a chicken pox party among little kids.
No “kids” can be vaccinated, period. The masks are not effective - kids are probably more prone to move them around / fiddle with them, resulting in more face touching and increasing chances of infection. Probably not healthy to wear 7 hours a day every day, either, even if they were.
Children either don’t catch it or have very mild cases.
Their immune system seems to defeat the bug successfully.

OK the kids wear the masks and then some get sick who do they blame it on then ?

Note to Beshear: using a disposable facemask to protect against the person to person transmission of an airborne respiratory virus is like using chicken wire to keep out mosquitos.

If you can’t provide technical specifications for the required masks, there is simply no scientific basis for pretending the ability to predict the effectiveness of “masks”.
