Indeed.
I've flown in and out of Afghanistan a few times.
I'm not a military strategist however giving up a secure airfield and controlled airspace @ Bagram was amateur hour at best. Last man out grab the flag and turn off the lights.
A sky train could have been sustained in and out of there until all who needed to leave were out.
After all, it's not as though we don't have the airlift capability...but to charge an American citizen to flee? It's not as though they're going on R&R.

Seems reasonable to me but depends on the situation. If you are USG (military or civilian) or dependent or government paid contractor obviously there should be zero cost.
If you are an NGO or non-profit or traveler, why should my tax $$ be used to bail you out? You decided to visit a country on the “do not travel” list you should be grateful for the rescue and pay the cost.

I had to double check that it wasn’t the B bee. Biden & his administration are complete & utter filth. The sad thing too... Kamala seems even more useless if that is even possible. Biden is the best campaigner for the Republicans.
