Interestingly, I was reading that “Bottom Barry” Obama snubbed famous Hollywood joke-writer Larry David re the invites for his 60th birthday party, but DID invite some “anti-semites.”

What’s Mr David trying to do? Get back with Bottom Barry? Are he and Mr Dershowitz trying to bump each other into the news cycle?

Dershowitz never took his politics from Hollywood. For one thing, he is much smarter than any liberal in Hollywood (almost all of them).
For another, he's never been a knee jerk anything.
Sure he is liberal (probably has something to do with spending most of his life at Harvard), but he's always gone his own way.
No knee jerk radical who takes his politics from Hollywood would have defended President during his impeachment.

Being a lawyer for OJ in court doesn't make anyone “ a knee jerk radical who took his politics from Hollywood.”.
For one thing, almost all Hollywood was AGAINST OJ Simpson in that trial. Dershowitz defending OJ would put him against the opinions of most of Hollywood in this case.

Actually at the time, most of Hollywood and most of the media were FOR Nicole and AGAINST OJ.
Dershowitz was doing what defense lawyers have been doing since there were defences lawyers, which is, defending their clients.
Got nuthin to do with politics. OJ was not even particularly political as far as I know.
For example Dershowitz defended President Trump during the impeachment trial,and Dershowitz is still as liberal as ever and voted for Hilary Clinton. You need to separate deference lawyers from politics.
