House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are demanding the Biden administration give them a “Gang of Eight” classified briefing on the plan to withdraw all Americans from Afghanistan.
The top two congressional Republicans sent Biden a letter, first reported on by Axios, on Wednesday asking for details on the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul.
Gang of Eight is the term used to described the eight congressional leaders who are briefed on classified intelligence matters.
“It is of the utmost importance that the U.S. Government account for all U.S. citizens in Afghanistan and provide the necessary information and means of departure to all those Americans who desire to leave the country,” the letter said.

How about inviting a couple or Republicans to the briefing, since McCarthy and McConnell are Assistant Democrats? Then televise the briefing and require Biden to answer questions. Grill the eff’n bastard for 20 minutes ... that is all it will take to break him.
Briefing? There you have it, folks... “our” leaders in the House and Senate. I’m just so proud right now...

I’d prefer they use some of Mitch’s campaign funds to buy TV time and make their case direct to the American people.
And make sure they are joined by every single elected Republican in Congress.
Just wait a few more days, there will be a lot more to discuss.
