The Taliban special forces: Heavily armed fighters with American equipment and commando-style bullet proof vests and 'night vision goggles'

....The unit, previously unveiled by the Taliban in promotional material, are reportedly highly trained and equipped with state-of-the-art military equipment...

...According to a report from India Today, the Badri 313 prepares like any other special forces commando unit, employing tactical and attack training in undisclosed locations run by the Taliban...

...Questions will surely be raised over how the Taliban have come into possession of such high-tech military equipment, with some suggesting that they have stolen or seized it from departing U.S. troops or defeated Afghan soldiers....

The typical taliban enthusiast has an IQ that’s borderline retarded (average afghani IQ - 84). How long do you suspect they’ll be able to maintain them? After the initial spray and pray into the sky will likely result in an empty cartridge and the disposal of the M4 in an exchange for a maintenance free crap AK.

They have all the high-speed-esque gear, but appear to be lacking some key components. For example, at least one Haji in the video is running his rifle without sights. Another Haji has his mag-pouch on the mag inserted into the rifle. Same incompetent thugs, different attire.

The Taliban is sponsored by Pakistan's military, and the US provides hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid to Pakistan every year. I'd suspect the Taliban will be able to maintain or replace all of that equipment indefinitely.

I agree, pakistan is now and always has been our enemy. They wil comtinue to help the taliban. Basically the taliban has always “ knew a guy* with nuclear weapons. But that “ Guy” for whatever reason had more brains than talli, and didn’t help tali use them nukes.

Thanks for the clarity. Truth is so hard to find in the world of hyperbole. Makes me a little intrested to gind out why. History has some dark lessons when you start to dig past the ruling class endorsed narratives.

Transfer of night vision equipment to unauthorized people is a felony. See example below from ICE website:

BALTIMORE — A Florida man was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for unlawfully exporting night vision equipment. The sentencing follows an investigation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

“One of HSI’s top enforcement priorities is preventing U.S. military products and sensitive technology from falling into the hands of those who might seek to harm America or its interests,” said William Winter, special agent in charge for HSI Baltimore. “This investigation is an example of HSI’s partnership with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland to combat this threat.”

You certainly didn't say this, and I'd never want to put words into someone else's mouth...

But the dozens of Apache helicopters that were taken from the afghan "army", there's no way Paki soldiers (or you, could teach even the smartest afghan even how to change the oil on one of these machines) to make them even vaguely operational.

Best case scenario, they sell them to the Chi coms for chump change just to verify what all their grad school sudents came back "home" and told them.

Maybe not helicopters - but the night vision goggles and other small equipment referred to in the article? I'd guess Pakistan will keep the Taliban supplied with such items. Pakistan has access to a lot of US military equipment - we supply them with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of military aid every year. They have been the primary supplier of the Taliban's arms since its formation in the '90s. They will take continue to care of the Taliban.

They just have to round up the 300k army we trained. They know how to use them.
