JACKSON, Miss. — On normal days, the garage is where people park while visiting Mississippi’s only children’s hospital, a building next door decorated with a logo of a rainbow and sun. Now air-conditioned tents with beds, monitors and oxygen fill the garage’s bottom floor.
By Wednesday, coronavirus patients will begin being treated in Mississippi’s second field hospital opened within days on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus. No need for governments forcing the rest of society to come to a screeching, grinding halt.
Fear mongering. How long before the reports of EVERY ICU in every hospital across the country has reached max capacity? So hurry up and get your shots. That don’t really do much in the way of prevention but if you don’t there will be a lot of prevention. On folks liberty. Why yes Virginia, folks actually are that easy.

My sons school ....has a lot of it...half his pals have it or are quarantined

If I didn’t come to freerepublic I wouldn’t even know that covid was still a thing. Once in awhile I’ll see a few people with masks on, that’s about it.

This is about hospitals refusing to recreate their COVID wards that led them to losing millions of dollars from other patients, especially scheduled surgeries that were canceled.
Many "regular" patients took their money and went to other hospitals. Those that still had COVID wards got burned twice; once by losing regular patients, the second time when all the surrounding hospitals sent COVID patients to them.
They want them in tents and parking decks so that the rest of the hospital buildings don't have to follow the lockdown rules.
Turns out they weren’t needed and the nurses made tiktok dance videos instead.
