The editorial board of The Wall Street Journal issued a forceful rebuke of President Biden's response to the crisis in Afghanistan, a calamity that Biden over the weekend suggested is partly the result of former President Trump's policy toward the war-torn nation.
"President Biden’s statement on Saturday washing his hands of Afghanistan deserves to go down as one of the most shameful in history by a Commander in Chief at such a moment of American retreat," the editors wrote on Sunday. "As the Taliban closed in on Kabul, Mr. Biden sent a confirmation of U.S. abandonment that absolved himself of responsibility, deflected blame to his predecessor, and more or less invited the Taliban to take over the country."
Trump, Biden said in a Saturday statement issued from Camp David, “left the Taliban in the strongest position militarily since 2001 and imposed a May 1, 2021 deadline on US forces.”

Biden is a bumbling, evil dolt and is responsible for the current disaster, but the real fault lies with the warmongers and wannabe nation-builders of the Bush era. They got us into this mess.

At the moment would like an explanation from Milley why the Bagram Air Base was abandoned in the middle of the night. Bagram could have been the orderly and relatively safe venue for the withdrawal of American civilians and troops. Instead there is now the chaos and dying at the Kabul airport. Just how will those 5,000 brave young Marines and soldiers the Biden cabal sent in at the last moment safely withdraw?

Too bad they will still endorse the dem party line come election time.
At least the Taliban aren’t atheists and have strong ties with GCC states such as Qatar. They’ve named their new government as an emirate. I.e. a monarchy.

The new emirate will undoubtedly have internal, external and regional security issues.
