Americans have been turning to the White House all day as Taliban forces have taken over Afghanistan in shocking fashion. But other than a couple of disastrous interviews Sunday morning, the White House isn’t saying much. This week, it appears they won’t be saying anything at all as Press Secretary Jen Psaki joins Joe Biden and others in the regime in a state of hiding.
“Circle Back” Psaki should be the tip of the information spear with her boss, the alleged President of the United States, vacationing at Camp David with no intentions of talking to America. Instead, she’s on a sudden vacation of her own.

The automatic reply email, which was confirmed by others, stated “I will be out of the office from August 15th-August 22nd,” and directed questions to other people in the White House.
Radio-silence is the most cowardly, infuriating stance for the White House to be taking. If Trump had done this, it would be deemed dereliction of duty by mainstream media. For Biden, they’re just relieved he’s not embarrassing himself by addressing the world at this time of crisis.
Seems like a good strategy: single point of failure. Instead of setting up a shared or managed mailbox, they have the singular person act as the repository, and when that person’s unavailable, “Oh, I’m so sorry, we can’t take any questions right now. I’m on vacation.”
Maybe if we don’t talk about it, it didn’t happen.

If no civilian Americans get killed trying to get out of Afganistan it’ll be a miracle.

I can only shake my head and wonder what the MSM would be saying if this were the Trump administration. Then again, we likely wouldn’t be in this situation, and Trump doesn’t go into hiding (much to the chagrin of the leftists).

They really didn’t expect this to happen. Biden was supposed to be pulled back from the public eye (”vacation”), while they figured out a way to reintroduce Kamala Harris to a public that simply doesn’t like her. The last three weeks have been tough: Biden screamed at a reporter that his butt had been wiped, then he wandered off onto the lawn at the White House, and now he’s lost America’s longest war. Many lids to come. They will have to get one of their stooges to do some “domestic terrorism” to regain control of the narrative.

She ain't about to go out and face the press corps today, so give her some credit for self-preservation if nothing else.
Better for her to go home to... wherever she's from in the northeast, it is kinda obvious, and take early retirement.

Everyone is entitled to a vacation. Of course, professionals will cut it off when there is a crisis - but who says she is a professional? That said, is it not customary for a deputy to cover for a vacationing primary?

I compare Biden’s administration to a tractor pulling contest. He came into office with little opposition and began moving the country to the left but as time went on his momentum decreases as resistant builds until he is stopped or blows an engine.
The chaos in Kabul right now may be his administration blown engine.
Social media and the news media may keep the American people ignorant about many things but what is happening in Afghanistan can not be hidden.
The end will come for the Biden administration if the Taliban captures Americans and begin executing them. The smart thing for them to do would be to see they are safely returned to America but are they willing to go against the blood lust of their supporters?

So true about the corrupt media. I suspect this is a "working" vacation for Biden, thee doctors are "working" on his severely diminished cognitive abilities and are attempting to treat hi so he can gingerly walk and read cue cards.
