Tucson City Council passes vaccine mandate for city employees.

The Tucson City Council voted Friday to require city employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

On Friday, in an emergency meeting, Mayor and Council in a 6-1 vote passed the ordinance that now requires employees to provide proof of at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot by Aug. 24. The measure includes a five-day suspension for city employees who do not comply; however, there are religious and medical exemptions to the ordinance.

Religious exemption looks to be the only way out. This is a real gamble by the Bolsheviks. They have lost a lot of cops as it is.

As with tyrants -- all tyrants, without exception -- the Democrat/Communist/Left will stop only when they are forced to stop, not one second before. And that "stopping" sometimes requires the use of physical force as negotiation toward a rational resolution is often no longer a viable alternative.

My question on these mandates, is with the waiver you have to sign before receiving the vaccine. It seems that an employer who requires a vaccine would be responsible for supplying it, so it could be injected without a waiver. My next question is how much weight will that waiver hold if you only signed it because you have to keep your job? My response would be, I’m trying to get the vaccine but they won’t give it to me (because I refuse to sign their waiver). Or are they now injecting it without waivers?

I think you forgot the sarc tag. The ACLU has been conspicuous by their silence since the PLANdemic started. Not even so much as a generic press release reminding our elected officials to be mindful of people's CIVIL LIBERTIES when dealing with this "crisis". They have a long history of picking and choosing their battles when it suits their Bolshevik agenda

Fine get them to sign a legal paper that puts all the Liability on them if you have adverse reactions or die. They will not sign it. All Medical expenses , lost wages, funeral cost the whole thing. See what they say then.

This is the same city that had a public vote become a sanctuary city for illegals (voted down) and then said they will only follow federal law on guns since Ducey signed legislation ignoring feds on the 2a. They pick and choose.
