Biden has been reduced to bribing the Taliban with foreign aid in exchange for a promise not to attack the United States embassy in Kabul. The proposal to fund terrorists is criminally treasonous and since the ranks of the Taliban include any number of Jihadis, and their old Al Qaeda allies have a presence in Afghanistan, that’s setting up our diplomats to be killed.
Now 3,000 soldiers are heading back to Afghanistan to help evacuate Americans.
Another 3,500 soldiers will be on standby in case the situation continues to worsen.
Biden is sending more soldiers back to Afghanistan than he withdrew to begin with

The Wallstreet Journal is reporting Pretendent Biden is sending an additional 8000 troops!
That is not an “extraction” number of personnel! This is a setup for more combat action!

And the Republicans have their heads in the sand. Are any of them demanding Bidet to step down as being incompetent? Any Republicans demanding anything at all?
I'm not doubting your information ExTx. If true, this is a profound about face of policy.
Many things come to mind. Perhaps the Taliban told Sloppy Joe where he can stick his foreign aid. And maybe the Chinese made them a much better offer. Like buying female brides for their single soldiers. And maybe this is just an extraction in force. I'm skeptical that this a re-engagement, but anything is possible with this band of clowns in the White House.
There's much more we can speculate on, but your post makes me think the White House, the Military, the State Department and the CIA have soiled their collective pantaloons.
