Achieving herd immunity with Covid vaccines when the highly infectious delta variant is spreading is “not a possibility,” a leading epidemiologist said.
Experts agree on several reasons why such a goal — where overall immunity in a population is reached and the spread of the virus is stopped — is not likely.
Sir Andrew Pollard, head of the Oxford Vaccine Group, told British lawmakers Tuesday that as Covid vaccines did not stop the spread of the virus entirely — with vaccinated people still able to be infected and transmit the virus — the idea of achieving herd immunity was “mythical.”
“I think we are in a situation here with this current variant where herd immunity is not a possibility because it still infects vaccinated individuals,” said Pollard, one of the lead researchers in the creation of the AstraZeneca-University of Oxford vaccine...

Vaccine immunity does not stop one from developing natural immunity after they are exposed to live covid. To say that happens is a FLAT OUT LIE. All the data from post vaccinated covid.recovery patients shows robust antibodies of not only the mrna synthetic ones but also the M set only granted by natural immune response. With the vaccines you get BOTH types of immunity that’s scientific research proven by numerous titer studies. Google scholar is your friend.
The vaccines teach your body before getting exposed how to fight covid, and gives you a head start which is why in Texas from March till now 8500+ people have died from covid only 43 of those were vaccinated the rest were not. The scientific reason is vaccinated people had a set of antibodies ready the second the virus showed up and then they also had time while those antibodies were working to develop more antibodies on their own.it is in no way either or with the vaccines you get BOTH types of antibodies.

I have been looking for exactly the type of study you are referencing. I was very curious to know what the immune response is after a vaccination followed by a breakthrough infection! If you have any of those study links handy, would you mind posting them in a reply? Thanks!
Nope. Covid until after mid terms then a sudden spike of a new variant ( they’ll start naming them like hurricanes and winter storms) for the next presidential election. Notice the “p” is no longer capitalized, since we live in a banana Republic soon to resemble Venezuela. If people don’t start pushing back this country is screwed.
There is no delta variant. Admitted there is no test for it.
Actually all they proved is that wht they’ve been injecing into people, is NOT a vaccine because it doesnt work like a vaccine historically does. IE prevent infection, and stop transmission.
They have admited it and that the vaccinated are the real super spreaders.

They are using vaccination as the measure of herd immunity rather than those who have been exposed to the virus. It is so much propaganda. It would be nice if there was a reliable source of information but those days are long gone.
You can’t achieve herd immunity with a vaccine that isn’t a vaccine. Natural immunity is the only way.
First problem is the use of the word, “herd”. We are not wild game, cattle or livestock.
If you are talking about people, goal should be mass immunity for example, or populous, crowd, group, throng or even horde immunity. Anything but “herd”. We are not sheep, but they, “the experts”, clearly see us as such.
Words mean things. The masses of people ought to wake up!
Herd immunity has been reached. More lies from the communist. Big govt controls just about everything. While people slept they were building a wall around us.
If we had not done any of the measure this stuff would have ran through the population. Prolonging natural, multi antigenic immunity and false injected immunity with fewer antigens is immuno 101 stupid.
Now it is crawling through slowly mutating because it is how it replicates.
