Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Expanded Monoclonal Antibody Access in Florida with New Monoclonal Antibody Centers
August 12, 2021
~ Monoclonal antibody strike teams will deploy directly to long-term care facilities ~
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida is increasing the availability of monoclonal antibody therapies by opening a rapid response unit to administer this lifesaving treatment in Jacksonville.
I am proud to announce the opening of this rapid response unit to offer lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapies for Floridians,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We also look forward to setting up a long-term site at the Jacksonville Public Library and additional long-term sites across the state. These treatments have been proven successful, with clinical trials resulting in a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death for COVID patients.”

Finally something is being done. Instead of no treatment and being told to return to the hospital or care center on you deathbed.
Wow, this is FANTASTIC news. Gas_dr here has been saying for a long time that MABs are by far the best treatment in the early stage. This should have been a big push a year ago in every state.
And THIS is how you handle the Covid problem. 👍👍👍
President Trump had a form of Monoclonal Antibodies infused. And was better in a matter of days. MABs are so much better and more effective now than they were last year.
I had monoclonals infused in March and was better in a matter of HOURS. My pain level went from a 7 to a 3 in 3 hours.
Yet FedZilla and Big Pharma are mostly silent about this “miracle cure”. And even when it is available - they put impossible demands on who can get it.
One dear FReeper just died because she was denied MABs.
Fauci should be in jail....along with a bunch of other so called doctors....
Good luck to the Left on spinning this into something bad. Monoclonal antibodies work. And even though access to this treatment has been relatively easy in many Florida regions, obviously that wasn’t true for all them. And ignorance was an even greater problem, so it’s very good that DeSantis is pushing this so openly.
I live in Florida - DeSantis protects us... We are blessed.

Coronavirus PING!
bkmk
way to go, Ron
“Good luck to the Left on spinning this into something bad.”
I am on edge imagining what they will pull out of their butts, but will be something.Betcha
That was a heartbreaking thread.
I don’t know where that FReeper lived, but in central Florida, they’ve been relatively easy to get for some time now. One of the major health systems actually started rolling out infusion clinics/units at the very end of last year and many other options also started popping up over the next few months. Unfortunately, the local media did a very poor job of communicating this to people and so many centers had fairly empty schedules until recently. And as we know, every day of delay due to ignorance or red tape risks the worst.
A friend 32 died Sunday. His treatment go home with no treatment and if you feel like your dying return. Two others were give the brushoff (they infected each other), they have walking pneumonia.
Nobody is offering early treatment. Not that I can fault DeSantis but I wish he would have done this months ago (my friend might be alive and the other two cured). He is the only one standing up to tyranny and offering a solution.
If this saves thousands of lives by shortening COVID, these thousand souls have the best immunity (natural). For Christ Sake is he the only person in government that has more than two brain cells?
Fantastic. I’m surprised at the limited number of Hospitals that allow treatment. Mine does not. One 14 miles west of me does.
Wow, the cases I mentioned are central Florida. Their doctors told them no treatment.
He should mandate the availability of HCQ and Ivermectin in Florida pharmacies and tell doctors they must prescribe it if the patient requests either.
Ignorance is a real problem. And not just with the general population. It doesn’t surprise me that a 32-year-old would get the brush off treatment. May I ask if he was significantly overweight or had chronic health problems?
For a bit, one of the issues was that it could be difficult to qualify for this treatment. They have relaxed that a bit, but not everybody is considered high risk for severe COVID. But even young people are getting this due to heart, lung, obesity, or other issues.
