Question.

What if the devices fail to be accurate a good number of times? Like false positive and false negative medical tests (Cologuard, PSA, Covid tests....) Then you’ll be branded a drunk by your insurance and DMV records.

And your car won’t start.

My fear is that it sets a precedent to pressume everyone is guilty of a crime before they prove their innocence. This will spread to everything if allowed to violate the Constitutional protection of innocence before guilt as this law does.

If you don’t drive like an old lady then your car will be disabled.

Part of the plan. Push the price of cars out of the range of middle class families. Then the elites will have the roads to themselves.

Owning a home is now pretty much out of the question for the middle class. Current car loans can be as long as 84 months (7 years!). So sure. It won’t take much to push owning a car out of the realm of possibilities for the middle class.

What does that have to do with infrastructure? For that matter, I wonder how much of this bill in general has to do with infrastructure?

“Infrastructure” is what Democrats call their diabolical plans. If you hear the word, run. They won’t let you drive.

How about a system that requires you to be a safe driver? I know plenty of sober drivers that will never be safe drivers. I know plenty of drinking drivers who will always be far safer than the average sober driver.

If you are going to eliminate drunk drivers, you should also eliminate old drivers, teenage drivers, and women drivers.

A COMPLETE INSULT to all car owners who do NOT drink.>

If drunk drivers ae killing people, then shouldn't we ban all cars? I propose a national car buyback system be instated.

“A COMPLETE INSULT to all car owners who do NOT drink.”

Absolutely... Aside from the fact it will financially punish those who do not drink because of the additional vehicle cost and huge inconvenience. Breathalyzers are punishment for those who have been found GUILTY of a crime.

You are being pre-punished and fined for a crime you have not committed. And after you prove your innocence you do not get back that additional fine/cost you already paid innocent or not.

On it’s face without any additional details needed this is extremely unconstitutional. Nothing else needs to be debated any further than that fact. It presumes guilt before innocence.

Good point, and, like you said, it would spread like wildfire.

A whole new reason to keep a dog in the car.
