US Faces Another “Dangerous” Heat Wave Amid 100 Large Wildfires Ravaging West
Nation & State ^ | 8-9-2021 | Tyler Durden

The dog days of summer have arrived as much of the country faces above-average temperatures.

“It’s going to be a real oppressive week with dangerous heat and hot conditions across much of the U.S. Excessive heat watches are up across much of the Pacific Northwest for mid to late week, including in the Portland and Seattle metro areas. Meanwhile, heat advisories are in effect for a good part of the south-central U.S. and parts of western New York state,” according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Great Plains and Upper Midwest states could see triple-digit temperatures and daily record high temps, possibly in the central and southern High Plains.

The combination of scorching temperatures and oppressive humidity could cause heat indices “to exceed the century mark on Monday and Tuesday across the middle and lower Mississippi Valleys,” said NWS.

High temps in the 90s and real feel temps approaching the 100s could be seen across the Lower Great Lakes, the Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast the first half of the week.

The average max high temperature in the U.S. is expected to move higher this week.

Average temperatures for the U.S. are peaking in the dog days of summer and should begin to decline after this month.

Excessive heat watches, air quality alerts, and heat advisories have been issued across the U.S.

Meanwhile, more than 100 large wildfires are burning across the Western half of the U.S.

The Dixie Fire, in northern California, has become the second-largest wildfire in the state’s history, is now the biggest active blaze in the U.S. Warmer and drier conditions are stoking severe wildfire activity across U.S. West.

This year, summer seems to include hot weather. Darn. The only thing worse would be cold weather next winter. I hope that doesn’t happen.

Ya’ can’t stop it. Because of global warming we now have Covid. Global warming is going to kill every organisim on the planet. All we need to do is accept a carbon tax that goes to AlGore, Zuckerberg, and is administered by Google and we have a chance, a mere chance of being saved. But only if we act now and surrender as much as possible!

We need to lock down and shelter in place.

“This year, summer seems to include hot weather. “

When it’s cool in the summer, the environazis say it’s just weather. If it’s hot, it’s climate change and we’re all going to die!

The sad part of all this is that the indoctrinated drink this Kool-Aid down in heavy measures. They buy every last bit of it.

I’m convinced eco-warriors or someone invested in green energy is going around starting these fires in various countries. The media everywhere seems to be screaming “climate change, the sky is falling”. Next thing we will have more lockdowns to flatten the climate change curve.

So the big high pressure dome this year sat over the West Coast instead of Texas that usually gives us the really hot Summer months. Suck it up West Coast.

I’m enjoying a spectacular thunder storm in central Kentucky right now. It’s one of the reasons I moved here from Seattle. We actually get MORE rain than Seattle, but we get it like Hawaii, in SHORT, large doses rather than a constant drip.

Isn’t it fascinating that the heat wave can be dangerous to people but not to a defenseless virus. Since the virus is not as potent in cold weather as displayed by media fear of heat wave and the increases, maybe the government should stop giving money for vaccines and just give everyone air conditioning. In the long run it would be cheaper and would grow employment. Win/win.

Seattle has a reputation for rain solely due to the number of rainy days and the omnipresent gloom, as its 38” annual rainfall puts it at 32nd out of the 50 largest US cities.

Usually, here in Missouri, we are issued a 'heat advisory' when temperatures are about 96+ but last nite, a heat advisory was issued for today with temperatures expected to reach .... 91.

It's a mental game that media and government continues to 'play' in order to pave the way for their agenda. Keep telling the people how 'bad' it is, how 'hot' it is etc etc and pretty soon they will believe it. The threshold for the each crisis continues to be moved down. Pretty soon, when it's 85, they'll cry about how 'hot' that is; how dangerous it is. Sound ridiculous? Just think about the last year and a half: people running around with 1, 2, 3 masks on, or wearing plexi-glass shields in front of their face. Look how easily the population can be jerked around.

We had so much rain in July in my part of Texas that I only had to turn on the lawn sprinklers once. Saved a king’s ransom on that water bill. :)

Oh god, I hope it’s not followed by cold weather this winter. That would be a frightening 1-2 punch.
