Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights said they will continue to fight the waiting period.
“The forced delay requirement has nothing to do with patient health,” Ashley Coffield, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi, said in the News Channel 5 report.
The abortion industry argued that Tennessee’s policy harms “low-income and communities of color” even as pro-life advocates point out that while black Americans account for about 14 percent of the child-bearing population in the United States, 36 percent of abortions are black babies.
“Abortion is health care and we at Planned Parenthood will continue to fight for our right to control our own bodies because our patients deserve nothing less,” the abortion provider said in the News Channel 5 report.
The case is Bristol Regional Women’s Center v. Slatery, No. 20-6267, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth District.

Is not mental health “health care”? How many women does Planned Parenthood rush into an abortion that the women later regrets when they learn there are other options? How many live with that guilt for the rest of their lives? Are they not now celebrating Simone Biles for her “courageous stand” to prioritize her mental health? I think PP is too interested in profits made for selling fetuses for research.
Fully half of the “patients” that go into Planned Parenthood abortuaries wind up dead. Is that what they call “healthcare”?
Do you have proof of that?
I would say that every woman who undergoes abortion winds up dead...eventually.
If they can make someone wait 7 days for a gun.
They can wait 2 days to murder a baby.
I agree.
Judgement and Damnation will come down upon the enemies of Heaven. It will be done unto them “according to their deeds”. That means, their punishment will be this: They will experience the suffering, the horror, and the agony which they inflicted upon others. It will come back to them, in spades, pressed down, shaken together, and flowing over. How horrible it will be for these monsters who desecrate the holiness of Life itself, in its most innocent and purest moments. They will not escape. We must remember “Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord; I will recompense.” God will execute perfect Justice for the innocent. Our job is to pray for all of those who are walking in such darkness, that they might repent. They have been deceived. They are parading through our streets with Pride. What they do not know, is this: They are on a Death March.
They can wait 2 days to murder a baby.
Those two lines right there.
What intimate understanding do you have of ‘God’s Perfect Justice’? I’d be wary of presuming such things on the basis of my own imperfect human judgment.
I’ve always found God to be inscrutable, and possessed of ‘mysterious ways’...
You’re right. He is inscrutable. However, I’m quoting scripture. The Rabbi from Nazareth warned us in the most extreme words to “flee from the Wrath to come”. He said that the fate of the”lost” is horrible. “Cut your hand off” “gouge your eye out”, if it’s going to keep you from the kingdom of Heaven. Nevertheless I agree, that His ways are past finding out.
Now there's a marketing slogan for you...
Pedantic, but you have a point. However, the other poster’s point is also valid: Two walk in, only one leaves that day. Usually. Sometimes neither one gets out alive that day...
Abortion has nothing to do with patient healthy...
And its a very unhealthy decision for the little one...
“Waiting periods” for abortions are minor barriers to the butchery. What we ought to be doing is JAILING the doctors that are murdering these children, and also JAILING the women who solicit for the murder of their own children.
My argument was only with your suggestion of a ‘veangeful God’.
I don’t believe in that.
I believe that God wants to *experience* - which an intelligent entity wholly outside of time and space cannot do. So, He creates all these little extensions of Himself through which He experiences; gives them all free will; and sets them down in a material universe of time/space/dimension that functions according to Laws.
If somebody suffers so-called ‘divine wrath’, it’s their OWN doing, not God’s.They always have a choice as to their thoughts and actions.
We are all God, living HIS life and desire.
(I realize that this is a fine distinction, and an interpretation that’s a little weird for some people.)
