A police officer "ambushed" Ashli Babbitt and fatally shot her during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to the Babbitt family attorney.
The lawyer, Terry Roberts, is preparing a wrongful death lawsuit seeking more than $10 million in damages against the Capitol Police and the officer who fired the shot that killed Babbitt, RealClear Investigations reported.
Roberts told RealClear Investigations he has gathered evidence indicating the Capitol Police plainclothes lieutenant remained silent before shooting Babbitt. That, despite the officer's attorney saying his client screamed warnings for Babbitt to stop before opening fire as she attempted to breach a barricaded door inside the Capitol Building.

Throw in another ten million for wrongful cremation.
It looked like a hit to me.
There is no justice in this country anymore and we have known that for quite some time.
Side note: Lawyer was misspelled in title, Newsmax is getting sloppy.
I doubt it. #1. She’s white. #2. The killer is black.
Say his name.
I think one of the reasons for the lawsuit is just that: to force the officer’s name out into the public arena.
I doubt he is a minor ..so what’s the deal..?
No jury in dc will vote for damages. And the judges? Forget about it.
Discovery will be interesting
Bttt
You don’t seriously think this suit will get to court, do you? District of Corruption judges will throw it out, probably because she was white or something, anything they can come up with.
Go to federal court, you say. Probably worse. My guess that old “Lack of Standing” will come into play here. After all the family is (Gasp) white. Right now being white is out of favor.
Only the victim can bring charges…
No standing???????
Only the victim can bring charges…>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The action can be brought by “The Estate of Ashey Babbitt” by her survivors. Once her will is undergoing probate, the receiveable of litigation damage funds can be listed in her assets that Ashli’s estate has.
The civil suite of a deceased person can be brought this way.
There is standing in this way in a civil suit.
Nothing can replace a life. A $10M civil suit is grossly inadequate. Ashli Babbitt family needs to find a new lawyer.
Get him and this sorry gooberment for everything they can!!! God bless this family!
Presumably he’s representing her family although the article doesn’t mention the plaintiff(s).
Sauce for the goose
He may have once been a “teen”
The process is what will be important. Starting with his name and training background.
I do not endorse it but he will of course be Doxxed.
