Judge agrees to free QAnon believer charged in Capitol riot
Douglas Jensen, 41, was wearing a T-shirt bearing the letter “Q,” a symbol of the QAnon conspiracy theory, when he joined the mob that approached Capitol police officer Eugene Goodman inside the building and followed the officer up two flights of stairs.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly said deciding whether to free Jensen from jail pending trial was a "close case," but he ultimately agreed to release the Des Moines resident on house arrest with electronic location monitoring. The judge also barred him from accessing the internet on any electronic devices.
The judge said Jensen's actions during his confrontation of Goodman were “deeply concerning and quite serious.” But he noted that Jensen is not accused of toppling any barricades, damaging any property or fighting with anybody at the Capitol.
“That said, he clearly disobeyed Officer Goodman and other officers, and he did position himself near the front of a mob as he ran up the stairs toward Officer Goodman," the judge said. ”That may be some leadership, but only in the narrowest sense."

The problem with joining a mob is that you end up doing things you would never normally do. It’s kinda like how money becomes just an object when you are in Vegas. You might throw $200 on a bet, yet at home you would scrutinize how much you pay for a can of peas.
And in the mob, you feel an odd “anything goes” feeling. Sadly, when the video comes out, it doesn’t matter how nice a person you are normally, you let your emotions and the “mob mentality” allow you to do things that can be construed as serious felonies. If the prosecutor so desires, he can ruin the rest of your life.
It’s important to stay level headed at these events or, better yet, don’t bother going unless you are willing to die for your country. It’s really that simple. And yes, I could get caught up “in the moment” as well. That’s why I didn’t go.
Remember, even one of Jesus’ disciples cut off an ear.
It’s about righteous indignation and our sense of fairness. It can get you into trouble if the revolution has not started yet.
In other words - a long prison term for running up a staircase.
What the Nazis did to the Jews, Democrats will do to us.

I don’t buy it, I just don’t see a Trump supporter assaulting a cop. I was going to go down there Jan.6th but my boss said he needed me for work, so I cancelled. But if I did go, the absolute LAST thing I would ever be doing would be assaulting a cop, it is just so so far out there in left field
I believe that 100%.
Another Q Conspiracy kook pleads guilty in the J6 riot.
The most amazing tidbit from this story is that Fairlamb's own brother is a Secret Service agent.
They have him on video punching a policeman in the head.
4+ years for that, eh, Judge?
Impeach the black robed tyrant!
I've been in demonstrations that could be counted as 'mobs.'
First rule of operation: NEVER let your emotions rule.
(1) The 14,000 hours of video-audio surveillance.
(2) Before all the FBI informants are identified.
(3) Before the individual Police officers are questioned under oath.
(4) Before they question Pelosi and others about the leadership planning and real time decisions.
(5) Before they get any documents or emails.
"deadly siege". My, We've moved on from "insurrection".
Note that U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly is a Trump judge, and appears to be less bloodthirsty than his Rapin Bill or Odiousbama kangaroo colleagues on the DC District kangaroo court.
They will never do all of the things mentioned and these poor folks are being tortured in lock up. They want it over. I just hope that down the line a president elected by us pardons them all.
I could not say a republican or a democrat. They no longer seem to differ.

When the video comes out? The are not being released for a reason. Who the hell convicts and sentences without seeing all the evidence? The judge should have had the charges dropped due to lack of evidence
The charging doucment for Fairlamb indicates the FBI has identified him on video punching a DC Metro cop in the head.
The other 13,999 hours and 59 minutes of video isn't needed, just the sequence showing the q-tard Fairlamb punching the cop.
