Is it the flames?
Or is it that nobody wants to drive a low-rider scooter through mounds of human sh*t?

We loved these things. We live in an area where you can walk or ride for miles and get to a really fun party/entertainment district. The problem is people would ride these into town, get wasted and toss these things all over the place. They'd leave them lying in the street, blocking the side walk or hurl them into canals or worse.
Just awful. Mostly tourists and young kids who screwed it up. The city passed ordinance after ordinance setting fines and so on, soon they were all gone.

Maybe they should market it as the e-Shoplifter or the e-Mugger? or the e-Street$h1ter?

I would expect the scooter wheels would become so clogged with feces they could no longer run.
