It isn't "for the greater good" that is utter BS. If the vaccines work, then my taking it or not does not place the fearful sheeple who have taken one of them at risk. They are protected. If the vaccines do not work and they are at risk from me, well, if I also took an in-effective vaccine then neither of us is any safer. There is no logical argument to try to coerce someone into participating in these experimental trials.
