As a graduate of Oral Roberts University, I was blessed to spend a lot of time with Oral Roberts himself.
Roberts repeatedly told me, “Go into every man’s world and meet them at the point of their need.”
He was referring to Christians evangelizing throughout the world. We Christians cannot wait for people seeking God to stumble into our churches. Rather, Christians must go to them and invite them to join our movement.
In a similar manner, conservatives must go!
They must go to black entrepreneurs. They must go to black parents. They must go to black preachers.
No more buffoonery. No more Stepin Fetchit. No more minstrel shows.
Blacks don’t need to be persuaded or convinced about conservative values. Blacks are the most conservative group in the country and have been for most of America’s existence.
Conservatives must start financially supporting legitimate, credible black organizations and individuals who have standing within the black community.
Conservative groups must form strategic partnerships with these credible black groups and individuals.
Far too often, conservatives attempt to address issues publicly that are of particular interest to the black community, but with not one credible black person on the platform with them.
Do conservatives not realize the optics of having a white person who has no standing in the black community attempt to address racial issues?

ARE YOU INVOKING THE GUY WHO SAID THAT GOD WAS HOLDING HIM HOSTAGE! SERIOUSLY! No thanks! MY GOD doesn’t do that! MAN does that!
They can change their culture, they can’t change their skin color.

Socialism and welfare VIOLATE scripture. PERIOD! FULL STOP!
“Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s goods...”.
“And every man shall give according to what they purpose in their own heart...”.
As long as black’s demand welfare, coveting their neighbor’s stuff, having government force their neighbor to give them their stuff contrary to their free will, they will not be in right standing.
We need to eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white.
Barack Obama
2004 Democratic National Convention Keynote Address, delivered 27 July 2004, Fleet Center, Boston
True conservatives are color-blind. We cheer as loud or sometimes louder for the Thomas Sowells, Hershal Walkers, Walter Williams, other prominent black, than we do for non-blacks.
“You preach it brother!” :)
This guy thinks we label everyone into groups.
Amen. I see what is happening as a result of church failure and compromise. Or maybe more that communities worship the government money and have sold their souls for that.
However, churches couldnt possibly be open 24/7.
Now, more than ever people need the Authority of Jesus Christ through His Word exegetically.
He did not tell the man at Bethesda I love you, so its okay to keep on sinning. Instead He had a dire warning for the man.
So what this guy is saying is that race is real and does matter.
Agreed. They vote 95% for democrats to get “free” money from government. In short, they choose to stay on the democrat party’s modern slavery plantation. What more does one need to understand?
If they vote for socialism out of economic self interest, then I really don’t care how many times they go to church.
“Blacks don’t need to be persuaded or convinced about conservative values. Blacks are the most conservative group in the country and have been for most of America’s existence.”
Sure, and over 90% of these “conservatives” vote for Marxist democrats.
These three sentences are vivid proof that the author is a buffoon.
When was the last time stepin fetchit or a minstrel show was in vogue? The 1930s or 40s or 50s?
Give me a break.
Can a church offset the influence of ‘free’ money from the Government?
A Government that subsidizes SIN?
This is the same for Whites as well!
I shudda read ahead.
So do the Living Prophets© of Mormonism.
(And they are the ONLY ones that do!)
Follow the prophet—and here are fourteen fundamentals in following the prophet, the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
First: The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything.
Yep.... it’s a rural/city thing as attitudes are totally different.
This is true as meaning "preach the gospel to every creature" going to where they are, sidewalks, ball games, concerts, etc., holding forth the word of life while also offering other help we can give, from taking out their trash to sending a sympathy card or a cake, in both word and deed making "manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place." (2 Corinthians 2:14) Maybe the SBC could hold their convention in the heart of Chicago.
" Blacks are the most conservative group in the country"
WRONG. Faith is shown by choices, not mere professions, and as a racial group American (it is actually a matter of culture, not color) blacks are the most liberal in voting. Evangelicals are the most conservative major religious group in the country and American blacks only make up 6% of evangelicals, and 15% of all blacks. Black adults (67%) say abortion should be legal in all or most cases as do 64% of Black Protestants. (https://www.pewforum.org/fact-sheet/public-opinion-on-abortion/)
" Do conservatives not realize the optics of having a white person who has no standing in the black community attempt to address racial issues?"
"Do liberals not realize the optics of having a liberal person who has no standing in the conservative community attempt to address racial issues?" And condemning "all lives matter as racist?
He's talking about the Black Church, which has had a long history of adherence to Christian faith, when the religiosity in the rest of the country has risen and fallen. But the Black Church isn't the entire African-American community and Black ministers have taken some very leftish political stands. This is one of those cases where people who approach things from a religious and from a secular point of view will see things differently. I don't think the author is entirely right even from a faith-based socially and morally conservative point of view, but can understand where the author is coming from.
