Florida prosecutors on Monday filed charges against five Miami Beach police officers for allegedly using excessive force in arrests made in a hotel lobby, officials said.

Some bystander is video recording the arrest of a guy who hit a cop with a scooter. The guy recording the arrest is told to back up....he laughingly backs up and the cops manhandle him.
Local media goes nuts, the political prosecutor brings charges.
So the guy filming complied with the order to back up and the cops still roughed him up?

That's what the video seems to show.
It also shows cops doing what they do: Protecting each other.
Big payday for the two guys.

Yep. The guy with the camera was a good distance away from the arrested guy on the ground. Camera guy was not interfering with the arrest, and he was no threat to the cops.
The cops who assaulted him deserve prison time.
(Again, if the video really is a true representation of what happened.)
That was a lot of blue bodies to arrest one guy. I’m guessing a dozen to 20 people to subdue one dude. And, an officer should never tackle someone making a video, even if he is mouthing off. These guys look like they were hopped up on adrenaline with not much else to blow it off.
