Since N.O has been under Louisiana Corrupt Democrat control (contender for most corrupt evah) for years, it’s a wonder that it’s taken this long for the Demo slime to ruin a wonderful city.

New Orleans also has a dysfunctional criminal justice system

New Orleans has a dysfunctional subset of the population. Without that, that criminal justice system becomes pretty much irrelevant.

But, who am I to inject reality into the conversation?

“In the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, crime in cities across the country erupted. Along with riots and looting, there were irresponsible calls to defund the police. With police being targeted by Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters, more officers decided to retire. At the same time, it became much more difficult to recruit new police officers to join departments under siege.”

It’s not just about defunding, retirements or recruiting. Those are undoubtedly factors, but the real issue is the police aren’t stupid. They’ve learned very well the lessons of the past few years. The media and the political establishment have taught them to take a hands-off approach to black criminality. See criminal or suspicious activity by a black person or a group of black people? Do your damnedest to ignore it. Look the other way because if you engage with said black people and things go south, the media and the political establishment will vilify and/or punish YOU.

Cities across America do not need gun control, instead, what is really needed is criminal control.

The last line of the article really is the bottom line.

I was about five blocks from there visiting my son and his fiancée. Urban squalor. We drove right through that particular intersection. Some sort of fag parade had been going on.

In New Orleans, crime increased dramatically in 2020 and the trend is continuing for 2021.Violent crimes such as shootings, armed robberies, car jackings and murder are significantly higher this year.

Why should New Orleans be any different from any other major US city?

The city is 60% black so what do you expect??? Most blacks are violent and impulsive people so this is only going to get worse. Nearly 80% of blacks are born our of wedlock and there is no father figure to make sure the offspring know how to behave. More and more are being raised by grandparents who were also illegitimate whereas a few years ago, grandparents tended to have grown up in two-parent households. The problem is going to get much worse.

I've always loathed everything about that sewer. And as if what I personally have witnessed weren't enough, what transplanted mongrels from that place did to their new homes was unforgivable.

Like that Houston gun store bill board said when it told people to protect themselves from Katrina refugees by buying guns.
