We don’t quarantine for any of those actual infectious conditions, but, somehow, we will quarantine uninfected people during COVID-19 times.

This is and has been a potentially powerful “wedge” issue. IMHO there is demonic intelligence behind it. Intellectually and spiritually speaking, it was never that hard to dispose of, at least in the abstract. But we don’t live in the abstract. The notion is not a trifling one that we are all in some ways responsible for the effect our decisions as individuals and our personal behavior has/have on others. Would that it were not so, but it appears that great effort, much prayer, and a copious amount of divine grace will be required to beat back this particularly insidious line of reasoning. Fauci cannot be permitted to appear to occupy the moral high ground for any appreciable length of time.
The only people who should be wearing masks are those with active tuberculosis. With the open borders situation, I’m going to assume everyone I see masked up has TB, which is scarier than the Rona ever was.
Proggies are very fond of the “Do as I say or you’re denying my rights” formulation. Your owning a firearm denies their rights not to get shot, your owning a car denies their rights to a clean planet, etc, etc. The only consistent part is “Do as I say.”
That’s the standard argument used by Marxists against individual freedom:
“You exercising your right to say things I don’t like encroaches on my right to not have to hear things I don’t like.”
“You exercising your right to carry a gun encroaches on my right to not have people carrying guns.”
“You exercising your right to private property encroaches on my right to go anywhere I want.”
“You exercising your right to be unmasked or unvaccinated encroaches on my right to have everyone masked and vaccinated.”
Using that “logic”, nobody should have any rights.
