Not just any citizen, but an informed citizen who is able to articulate and demonstrate the attributes of self-government in a Constitutional Republic. These, and these alone, should be allowed to vote in the USA.

Today it’s what you think you are that counts. You can think you are the other sex, or some other race. If you think you are American the NYT wants you to vote in America’s elections.

OK. I identify as a rich playboy who made billions selling shark repellent, who lives in the Bahamas, is a citizen of Liechtenstein, Monaco and Andorra, with 3 yachts, 4 mansions, a Ferrari, Mustang and Maserati, who is exempt from taxes, smokes Cuban cigars and drinks single malt Scotch. Not to mention the hordes of willing females, but I digress.

Narcissism rules today. Reality has been shelved. It may come back one day, but it’s gone for a while.

From Wikipedia: "Abrahamian was born in Canada and grew up in Switzerland. Her parents, who are Iranians of Armenian and Russian descent, worked for the United Nations.[3] She holds Swiss, Canadian and Iranian citizenship[4] and speaks English, French, and Russian.[4]

Apparently, she's had enough time and gumption to earn citizenship from Canada, Switzerland, and Iran(!) but has not bothered to become an American citizen. Given her Iranian citizenship, deport her back to Teheran and see how much she enjoys that.

Everyone knows someone who is “like family.”

If you live long enough, that’s probably not true. Oh I’m sure you’ll have good friends who become fairly close but over time and with people moving to different regions for job opportunities etc... that all goes away, maybe in agrarian societys it was possible.

It’s like that old worn out high school valedictorian speech for the speech from the dean where they say “look to your left and look to your right and look around you you will probably never see any of these people again after graduation.”

I’m not saying it’s impossible but I’m saying people tend to come and go and stay various lengths of time in other people’s lives.

America is not an experiment,

Actually America is an experiment.

Most of mankind has lived under the boot of mad dictators for many centuries.

It looks like the experiment in liberty is in the process of being eradicated--and the New York Slimes is doing its part to make that happen.

The New York Times ran an op-ed this week calling for people who consider themselves to be “like Americans” to be able to vote in our elections.

Immigrants today come to the US for "free stuff", from welfare to medical care. When they protest about our country, their goal is to change the US to the hellhole they just left. These people need to be purged from the country, let alone letting them vote in our elections. The NYT can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

If this is taken to the ultimate conclusion, anybody in the world, even somebody, who has never even been in the USA, could claim to be “like American”!
Another 4 billion of Democratic voters discovered!

I hear that the population of Poland consider themselves like Americans. We should let them vote in our elections.

The NYT should publish an op-ed that advocates for NYT op-ed writers being the only people permitted to vote in US elections.

Why not?

This way, Democrats will be able to steal elections with a lot less hassle.

The entire point of the illegal alien inundation has been to import a permanent Democrat majority and it has been bipartisan and going on for 30 years.

Entitled, “There Is No Good Reason You Should Have to Be a Citizen to Vote,” it’s every bit as dumb as you’d expect.

Why does Ms Abrahamian want to vote in the US? By her logic she should be able to vote in any country of the world. And everyone sees should be allowed to also!

The commie New York Times, and other rags of its ilk, subsists on advertisers' dollars, not subscriptions.

What kind of sicko American businesses have been for ages (and are still) pouring billions of advertising $$$s into the coffers of this anti-American publication?

These advertisers are just as politically-and-morally-warped as are the members of the commie Sulzberger family, owners of the Times since 1896.

Does anyone remember this publishing family's decades-ago past support of the murderous dictator Adolph Hitler, the murderous Castro brothers and other tyrants?

The Slimes is STILL AT IT, supporting the communist and socialist dictators now in control of our beloved country !!!

They are consistent, if nothing else.

Leni
