For a potential presidential candidate who had built up a good amount of conservative goodwill, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is projecting the wrong message to keep her name circulating in the hat. Admittedly, I was hopeful for her just a few months ago, but her actions since then have been made me back away.
The latest example of embracing Republican Establishment corporatism is abysmal. What’s worse is that she demonstrated her embrace of one of the most hated industries today among MAGA conservatives: Big Pharma.
“Workers whose employers are mandating a vaccine for continued employment have the power to say no. Our robust economy and job market gives them the option to find a new employer that values personal choice and responsibility, and doesn’t force mandates on their employees.”

The background of Kristi Noem's shameful and cowardly betrayal can be found in the article below. She could have been an heir to President Trump's movement, but she threw it all away by putting her high-tech, globalist donors before the well being and safety of the girls and young women of South Dakota. By choosing to veto legislation that had been passed to stop deranged boys and men from sharing showers girls, she exposed herself as the pervert supporting political hack she really is. I will now actively oppose Kristi Noem with every fiber of my being if she ever tries to run for national office. I would rather have known evil like Hillary Clinton over a traitor like Kristi Noem.

For a farm girl she sounds like quite the elitist.
Find a new job.
Let them eat cake.
“You can’t just quit and magically get a new job that pays the same benefits, salary, or have the flexible hours. It’s just not that easy”
In agreement. I spent most of my career
as a contractor. Employers look for
employees that can hit the ground
running. Especially in manufacturing,
or engineering rolls. I’ve worked on
heavy truck/bus, military vehicles,
oil industry heavy equipment.
Transition between each must be fast
and furious, or you’re gone.
But, any employer that gives the
ultimatum of shot, or no job,
ain’t worth working for. It’s a hard
point to stand on when one is trying
to feed ones’ family.
I don’t know what you’re talking about. As for the shot, even though I’m getting a lot of pressure from family members, I’ve still so far resisted.
Enough people leave a business, then the business cannot operate.
If they decide to keep all the vaccinated, then that business will collapse within 3 to 5 years.
What’s stopping them?
But it's only legal because our law makers are allowing it to be legal. That is the point of the displeasure with Noem’s stance and the silence of our GOP lawmakers. The lawsuit that was lost was brought by a Nurses Union not a state. Not effectively making a case in court doesn't make it legal.
“This is why folks need to think about this now. Yes, principles are sometimes inconvenient. Freedom, if that's what you want, requires you to make certain decisions, not insisting that you should be able to stand behind government as a shield to protect you. Government will not help you here.”
Freedom was pretty important to the founders and their goal was/is to limit the power of the Government. Pretty sure they didn't consider them inconvenient principals that sometimes required decisions.
This SD governor should be calling out the tyrants by demanding the science data they claim is driving the tyranny.
Here, the woman governor is sounding completely out of touch with the furious anger of everyday people who are smart enough to realize the massive scam taking place.
You get my vote. It’s called looking out for the little guy which is a losing strategy in today’s world.
You tell me, champ. France is mandating COVID-19 shots for ALL businesses and anyone who uses those businesses. The US Federal Government is also beginning this process which will, no doubt, follow the French Template.
Ok, Ace, what are you going to do about it?
The French are putting us to shame right now....
I don’t like companies doing this, but I’m not sure governors can tell companies what to do.
Correct. Watching, praying, and preparing. How about you?
I am fortunate to own the company I work for so there will be no mask mandate.
I feel for those who may be coerced into getting a vaccine that has a non-zero chance of killing them and likely a greater than 50% chance of being ineffective and a 99+% chance of not being needed at all.
This is a hard lesson for everyone that is faced with this direct decision right now. What it shows you is that there is nothing your government and elected representatives wont do to subjugate you, your family, and your freedoms.
You can bet that their next demand will be more outrageous, and the penalty for non-compliance will harsher until we reach the point where we have guns pointed at us.
People are worried (rightfully) that they might be denied benefits if they don’t take “the Jab”;
What if, what if it’s the other way around?? After all, there’s no entity that can be held legally liable for this Vaxx, if things go sideways. Not as a practical matter.
“Sorry sparky, after all, it WAS an experimental vaccine. Ya pays yer money and takes yer chances. No standing”.
Plus, any symptoms or longterm disabilities can be blamed on “the Vaccine” as required or necessary as the case may be.
Do Insurance companies pay out on life insurance policies for Covid-19 deaths? It isn’t as stupid as it sounds. Ordinarily, most policies probably have exclusions for “acts of war” or biological attack. At least, I’d expect that. If you were writing policies, you would too.
How about Life Insurance payouts for defective Vaccines? If it isn’t an FDA Approved VAXX, seems to me that would be a pretty big “Oh, HELL no, we ain’t payin’ for that, why would we do that?”
I got the memo today from the head of the organization I work today. It was sent to everyone. Everyone must be fully or partially vaxxed by August 20th. Contractors, volunteers, and interns must adhere to it as well. All new employees need to be fully vaxxed by next month. If a new employee is not vaxxed before they join they will not be working.
That truly sucks. I'm retired. Have been since 2003. I have no idea what I'd do if I was in your situation. I'll keep you in my prayers. Both my sons who are in their 50's got the vaccine, even though they know I refuse to. As a mother, I don't want to outlive my kids. It's very hard not to be concerned about the long-term effects of their decision. I'm just glad I don't have any grandchildren. Neither of my sons wants kids, and at this point in time, I am truly grateful for that.
I am going to do it. No choice. :(
If I was close to retirement I would retire. Unfortunately I am too far away from retirement and I have too much time invested in the company and owe money on the condo.
