The Marines are ultimately there to protect the documents and electronic intel that embassies hold. The people are expendable.

Excellent question. It seems that the source is an “alternative” website, then Fox.

Unless times have changed, a joint intelligence task force (small in number) purges Embassy files on a routine basis — concentrating on classified documents.

I don’t think that that has changed, but it is my understanding that in the larger embassies there can be a hugh amount of intel at any one time.

Swzailand was British colony, it was never part of South Africa. It became independent in 1961.

Information Resource Management or the IT guys located in the Information Processing Center (Classified IT guys) conduct drills for the mission in which everyone empties the burn bags in the drawer of the safe during drills to ensure it doesn’t build up. If the SHTF everyone brings their stuff up to IPC and they continue behind the vault doors to destroy in an emergency.

And no the correct answer is that the brightest kids in the room are more important than any classified information because IPC ensures there is no TS information floating around the embassy.

As for what goes on in the Military and Agency areas of the post, IPC will assist because they have the assets at a small post, or they do it on their own at larger posts where those sections have Disinagrators.

In any case, the Intel and State Dept folks at the embassies and elsewhere don’t seem to like America first, Americans, or American Soldiers. I hate to see our youth wasted pulling their leftist, elitist bacon out of the fire of their making.

In this day and age, there is little to no paper to burn or shred. Removable hard drives and off site storage of the main files is the norm. But they still have to thermite the equipment.
