A Harvard professor of evolutionary biology has been slammed by her department's diversity head for rejecting the term 'pregnant people' and insisting on referring to people as male or female instead.
Carole Hooven, who has been at the university for 20 years and received multiple teaching awards, spoke of feeling 'frustrated' at the atmosphere in academia.
She told Fox News on Wednesday that she was dismayed at the insistence on politically correct terminology, which she felt was misguided.
University professors were discouraged from using the words male and female, and referring to pregnant women, she said. The terms were deemed offensive to the transgender and LGBTQ community.
'I've been feeling pretty frustrated over the last five years or so. It's been gradual,' she said.

So, the ultimate arbiter of right and wrong is the trans crowd? How crazy is it to put this group in the position of making the ultimate decision on what is correct speech, and what is not? This demented group overrides ALL other certified victim groups: lez, gay, black, muzz.
Who put the trans in charge? they are the least suited for the job. Anyone who thinks he/she is NOT the sex he/she is, is by definition insane.
Why are science deniers/self-mutilators allowed to destroy the lives of people who won’t recite the required words of the trans-creed? Who allows people who deny the evidence of their chromosomes to tie other people to the stake and light the fire under them?

Just out of curiosity, what is the current woke definition of “woman.” The traditional definition was “adult human female,” or some similar formulation. But “female” is (I think still) understood to refer to biological sex, and “woman” is an identity-related term, so it must be severed from the biological dimension. So: how is it defined?
