Is delta more contagious? Sure. Maybe.
Is it as lethal as the alpha or ancestral varieties? Statistically speaking, no way.
It will never be gone and you know that. It will mutate and circle the globe forever.

There’s plenty of zany stuff being posted about COVID-19. Using the “who are you to disagree with an expert” line to a post you disagree with - zany or otherwise - is just lazy.

That may or may not be true, may or may not have been a mistake (HCQ is mainly an immunosuppressant). But that has nothing to do with how Delta orginated.

A vaccine is a medicine which provokes an immune response against a particular pathogen in order to safely prepare your body’s specific immune system to fight that pathogen in advance.
Whether it’s the viral vector J&J vaccine or the mRNA Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, each of them do that by presenting a key SARS-CoV-2 antigen to your immune system. This enables your body to ramp up its defense against SARS-CoV-2 before you’re exposed to the actual virus. So if and when you are exposed, you’re much better prepared to fight it.
The MMR test also has 95% efficacy. Only the protection is 1:1. One vaccinated person will protect one non vaccinated person.
The Covid vaccine has a 95% efficacy too. But it takes 113 vaccinated people to protect one non vaccinated person.
Numbers matter

So the folks that got the jab feel fine and are out and about while sick (Typhoid Marys). But the unvaxed are under the weather and stay home. But it is the unvaxed that are going to be taken from their homes in [box]cars to go get the jab.
