what he should be doing is saying that the D party does NOT favor high crime rates in their D-controlled cities
and to lower the crime rates, he will make available free firearms to any citizen wishing one and willing to take a standard firearms safety class or test
let people (even poor folks) defend themselves, and when the criminals realize that people are now gonna be armed in those “gun controlled” D cities, the crime rate will go way down
there will still be some crime and some accidents of course
so crime rate will never go to zero, but a big drop happens when criminals know that people are ready to defend themselves
