Indeed...where are the OTHER 200 or so GOP members of the House? The fifty GOP members of the Senate? Crickets.
I called my congressman (R, FL) to complain about this and say that I thought it was un-American and I was shocked that Representatives weren’t being allowed in to see their constituents. I hope I wasn’t the only person who called.

Or, mayor’s or civil rights lawyers? Church leaders?

And they are just getting away with locking them up. I heard most haven’t been charged. How are they just getting away with doing this. Oh yeah same as the border and other stuff. The media won’t report it. How can they let this happen to our country.. They have to live in this country to.

No, this is important. It’ll be a strongly worded letter. Maybe even in all caps, lots of exclamation marks.
All three Congressmen were not allowed to enter the Department of Justice either. That happened Tuesday. Unacceptable!

Habeas corpus (/ˈheɪbiəs ˈkɔːrpəs/ (About this soundlisten); Medieval Latin, literally means “you shall have the body”, and in context it means “[we, a Court, command] that you have the body [of the detainee brought before us].”)[1] is a recourse in law through which a person can report an unlawful detention or imprisonment to a court and request that the court order the custodian of the person, usually a prison official, to bring the prisoner to court, to determine whether the detention is lawful.[2]
The writ of habeas corpus is known as the “great and efficacious writ in all manner of illegal confinement”.[3] It is a summons with the force of a court order; it is addressed to the custodian (a prison official, for example) and demands that a prisoner be brought before the court, and that the custodian present proof of authority, allowing the court to determine whether the custodian has lawful authority to detain the prisoner. If the custodian is acting beyond their authority, then the prisoner must be released. Any prisoner, or another person acting on their behalf, may petition the court, or a judge, for a writ of habeas corpus. One reason for the writ to be sought by a person other than the prisoner is that the detainee might be held incommunicado.
i’m just so grateful that someone from our side finally did this. i hope they can muster some real/legitimate authority to stop this outrageous cover up.

The detention of some of these people is a concern, as I believe rightly or wrongly, they are being made an example of.
But this attempted “visit” by the four House Members was a *stunt*. Just an awful decision to do, and shows the ignorance of these Congressmen/woman.

After all that you have seen in the past year (5 years if you have been paying attention, 28 years if you have really been paying attention), why would you think that there is a government solution to what our government has become?
Looking at what’s happened since 2008 and especially the last 5 years, and specifically the last few days, why would the notion not come to mind of Jefferson’s “watering the tree of liberty”?
