Anyone working for Google or Facebook will be mandated to take the COVID vaccine, in a move that will affect tens of thousands of people in more than 40 countries.
Google announced the decision along with a delay until October for employees returning to offices.
The company said that the policy will initially be put into place at Google’s California headquarters and other U.S. offices, before being imposed on its global locations with the policy being “adjusted” to meet the laws of different countries.
“Anyone coming to work on our campuses will need to be vaccinated,” chief executive Sundar Pichai noted in a blog post.
“Even as the virus continues to surge in many parts of the world, it’s encouraging to see very high vaccination rates for our Google community in areas where vaccines are widely available,” Pichai added.
Google’s announcement was quickly followed by Facebook, with vice president of people Lori Goler telling reporters “We will be requiring anyone coming to work at any of our US campuses to be vaccinated.”
Facebook and Google have worked arm in arm with the Biden administration, as well as the World Health organisation to indiscriminately push the vaccines and censor material on their platforms that doesn’t fall into line with that narrative, so it is hardly surprising that the two companies are mandating vaccines for their employees.
The move by Google and Facebook comes after first active military were told they would be mandated to have vaccines, followed by moves to mandate all federal workers to take the shots.
Reuters reports that those who resist will “face regular testing, social distancing, mask requirements and travel limits.”
Speaking with the Associated Press, Brian Kropp, chief of research for Gartner’s human resources practice said “Google is seen as being such a different kind of company that I think it’s going to take one or two more big employers to do something similar in terms of becoming a game changer.”
While some other companies, particularly airlines, have indicated they will make vaccines mandatory for employees, and others have said it will be mandatory for employees to disclose their vaccination status, research has previously indicated that most will not.
This may now change, however, with Big Tech leading the push.
CNN resident ‘expert’ Dr. Leana Wen, a public health professor at George Washington University, commented on the moves by Google and Facebook “This is the stuff that needs to be done, because otherwise we are endangering workers and their families.”
“It is not fair to parents to be expected to come back to work and sit shoulder-to-shoulder with unvaccinated people who could be carrying a potentially deadly virus.” Wen added.
Wen has previously called for vaccine passports and forever masking, as well as making life as difficult as possible for those who are still opting not to take the vaccines.
CNN and MSNBC have been calling for mandatory vaccines non-stop for weeks.

The large multi-national bank I work for is doing forced RTO (Return to Office)for most employees except I.T. and that's causing a corporate-wide revolt also.
After being told people can work from anywhere with many moving out of Hellinois (because it sucks ass living here) they're now being told they have to be in the office? Yeah, that makes sense. We already have issues finding and hiring talented people and the dumbasses who run the bank are just making it worse.
I'm ready to quit myself. Working 200% capacity 10-12 hour days often six days a week since Feb. 2020 I'm just completely burned out. I'm ready to just quit and go stock the shelves at the local WalMart or Home Depot or some other mindless job to pay the bills. I don't need this crap any longer.

I’m a 100% remote worker, and I suspect my organization will mandate vaccinations for employees going into an office or traveling on the corporate dime. The problem with that is we get together at HQ roughly once a quarter, and the absence of those of us who are abstaining will speak volumes.

Which implies the vaccine is ineffective.
A lot of this sort of stuff on social media is bluster and bravado. It might be something to consider, but our legal system is so full of holes and overlap that I suspect most organizations with a halfway competent legal team would be able to work around this.
This needs to be a class action or an action by states’ AGs. I also wonder if larger organizations would be willing to lose 5%-10% of their workforce over such mandates. I know I’m not the only one in my company who’s against this.
I guess they did not get the word from the CDC yesterday that the vaccine takers were spreading the virus too? In other words the vaccine does not work.
Well they will have a bunch a dead people in 3 to 5 years for those that are stupid enough to take it.
Shut down your Facebook and Google Accounts if you have any. They are tyrants and do not deserve any support.
I think they’re making a case that non-vaccinated individuals are “spreaders,” and that the vaccinated could potentially carry COVID by being in proximity to these individuals, thereby spreading it around anyway.
The mental gymnastics required to be a liberal must be exhausting.
