A Springfield hospital announced Tuesday that it expanded its morgue capacity amid an increase in COVID-19 deaths, while the Kansas City mayor announced he would reinstate a mask mandate for indoor spaces.
Missouri has the nation’s fourth-worst COVID-19 diagnosis rate over the past week, with one in every 360 people diagnosed with COVID-19. Its seven-day rolling average of daily deaths has nearly doubled over the past two weeks, according to data from John Hopkins.
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas tweeted on Tuesday evening that he would provide details Wednesday morning on his plans to return Kansas City to a mask mandate based upon national and regional health guidance and discussion with other city leaders.

Maybe 16 for the whole state? I guess the hospital morgues are small. And if they are still counting anyone who ever was within 6 feet of someone who had Covid, as a Covid death, then probably the real number is 2, not 16. ??

This is setting up a mixed up situation in St. Louis County, where some suburbs have already said they won't enforce it; and many store owners are not enforcing it. Some store managers have told employees not to confront people not wearing masks. It's a mess.
They are not testing anyone without symptoms. It's not like they are going out on to the streets and testing selected strangers, en masse.
This means nothing on its own.
