Kevin McCarthy has Effectively Resigned as House Minority Leader
Free Republic ^ | July 27, 2021 | wildcard_redneck

It is time to acknowledge and ugly truth. Kevin McCarthy has effectively resigned his position as Republican House Minority Leader. by allowing Nancy Pelosi to usurp his power to seat Republicans representatives on House committees. McCarthy should try to retain some dignity and resign as House Minority Leader and make way for someone that will fight for Americans like Rep. Jim Jordan.

If GOP representatives are accepting appointments from Democrat Nancy Pelosi instead of Kevin McCarthy then McCarthy has demonstrably lost control of the Republicans in the House and he must resign. Kevin McCarthy has surrendered to Nancy Pelosi and, if the Republican party does not want to surrender to Nancy Pelosi as well, the it can no longer be led by McCarthy.

It is a sad spectacle to watch a full grown man in the prime of his life being publicly humiliated over and over again by an 80 year old woman. Kevin McCarthy has been castrated as a leader and he does not seem to mind all that much. How could a man with such a strong jaw have such a weak spine? Kevin McCarthy is so submissive to Nancy that him wearing a gimp suit and a ball-gag in the House chambers would be appropriate.

If Kevin McCarthy does not find the courage to resign with some dignity then California Republicans must vote him out in the 2022 Republican primaries. If Kevin McCarthy manages to win his primary election then Republican voters need to remove this loser from his House Minority Leader position by voting for his Democrat opponent.

Kevin McCarthy works for Nancy Pelosi now and we can do better.

The Uniparty sees no reason to play the game anymore.

Jim Jordan may well be the only person in DC that I trust. My guess is that’s exactly why Pelosi and McCarthy have kept him off the committee. The real losers in all this: The American public.

No, he shouldn’t resign. He’s in the minority. How about we voters actually WORK to put Republicans in the majority next year. That may well be the time for a new Republican Majority Leader IF WE ELECT PATRIOTS.

I am guessing there are pictures of him in a compromising position, which he voluntarily posed for, you know, for plausible deniability with the voters....?

Any republican that accepts an appointment from pelosi should be kicked out of the GOP. Then the committee is still GOP-less and they get to run without being a republican.

The Dems urged on Violence in the streets.

The very top Dems, too.

No one will remind them they called for people in the streets that wouldn’t stop for any reason.

House minority leader is in charge of house republicans at the moment

Republicans are assistant democrats with very few exceptions. So, no, he’s doing his job

He does not work for the voters. He works for the party

He’s not going anywhere

It’s not right, he officially was hired to work for the electorate. But he like Maoist house members are not in recognition of these fact.

2022 will resign a bunch of republicans as well as any hope of having a majority ever again.

Ya, because that has worked out so well for us in the past.

"The Uniparty sees no reason to play the game anymore."

You are right, the Uniparty is not concerned but if we start removing the "captured opposition conservatives" and replacing them with fighters the GOP will start to care.

Republican voters have a lot more control over the fate of Republican politicians than they do over "Democratic" Party office holders. We can easily take the GOPe leadership to the woodshed in 2022 and make them work for us.

Both things are possible and don’t make it easier or harder for the win in 2024 by happening.

“PATRIOTS”

Careful, suing that word will get you put on a govt ‘list’. It’s been labeled subversive.

We had the House, Senate, and Presidency - and they wanted to investigate Trump for three years and they lost the House, amid their Investigations, in the mid-terms.

Been there, done that.
