Is it wrong that I'm rooting for the U.S. Women's National Team to lose, and humiliatingly so, this Olympics?
Of course it's not wrong. The USWNT, led by America's favorite histrionic Megan Rapinoe, protested against racism and discrimination by taking the knee before their first Olympic match. Though the stadium was empty (certainly nothing new to the USWNT), the attending "reporters" revived each other with smelling salts to swoon and gape at the unparalleled fortitude exhibited by these privileged virtue-signalers in what was dubbed a "social justice reckoning".
I find soccer thoroughly unwatchable and, if forced to choose, I'd rather do something less painful like chew broken glass. But I won't deny being smugly satisfied to read that the USWNT got massacred by Sweden. And there are a few other athletes for whose wokism I'm hoping ends in face plants:
GWEN BERRY
Apparently, there's a sport called hammer throwing, and Gwen Berry excels at it. Unfortunately, hammer throwing doesn't draw the crowds that swimming and gymnastics does. In fact, had Berry not turned her back and disrespected the U.S. national anthem, most people would never have heard of her.
After the sought-after backlash, Berry parroted the usual yard sign witticisms about how the anthem doesn't represent her, and about how she wants America to "be good to everybody, and not just for the elite or the white supreme." It's hard to believe that anyone who gets corporate sponsorship for playing with hammers sincerely feels themselves oppressed in any way, shape, or form. This is simply her "look at me" moment, and it's not about anything except her own ego.

woke corporations cannot wait for anti American, radicals, racists, gay lesbian and transgender Olympians to promote their products
but on the other hand, I have been watching (not BB or woman’s soccer) and have seen many athletes displaying their patriotism. It is a shame that everyone paints all the athletes with the same brush as the few turn-coats.
I think Japan did everyone a favor by not allowing fans in the stands.
For sure. I watched the USA Australia game just an hour or so ago. It was obvious from the get go the US was playing for the tie as that was all that was needed to advance to the knockout games. But, they were lame nevertheless.
If I was a business/corporation, I’d find those that DIDN’T kneel and proudly wrapped themselves in the flag, and pay them handsomely to promote said business/corporation. America loves a winner.
If some athlete proclaimed he was protesting the number of white people murdered by black criminal violence, I don’t think the woke would be supportive.
What’s an “Olympics”?
Fine. But it’s like syrup of ipecac on your waffles.
Gwen Berry is sponsored by “Color Of Change” a left wing advocacy group that advocates defunding the police.
I’d rather watch 6 hours straight of the Joe Namath health care ads than to watch any of the 2 minute Olympics-5 minute commercial breaks.
The Olympics are past their pull date. It would be fun if not for the athletes.
I saw a Color of Change billboard just the other day. The color scheme was red, black, and yellow...straight up communist. I remarked that they’re flying their commie colors right under our noses and getting away with it because 99 out of 100 people are oblivious to it.
ZING! That'll leave a mark.
It is up to the US Olympic Committee to keep the glory hog virtue signalers out of public view.
I do not feel bad at all for not watching a minute.
Kinda like the Antifa flag being the exact copy of the 1932 German Communist party paramilitary.
But Snopes calls it “False”?
Yeah, Right!
Exactly. Or even DU with their red, white, and black.
AOINOs - American Olympians In Name Only.
No, because I surely am rooting for them to lose too.
The women soccer players are Americans Honoring Only Leftist Extremists Surely.
