Record coral cover means there was no disaster on the reef. The only disaster is the quality assurance at the science organizations.
The only problem with climate alarmists is absolutely none of their predications come true.
Peter Ridd is the Australian scientist who has lived in reef country his whole life, and knows the GBR better than anyone else. He was recently fired from his academic appointment because he wrote the truth instead of the narrative. Case is pending I believe, but shows how severely twisted “science” is today.
Another fake crisis that can only be solved with more communism.
Un-possible, we’re told daily the reefs are dying from climate change and our sunscreen.
Does oceanic CO2 promote Coral?

This is how they spin these sorts of things somehow.
I’ve dove a number of places around the world.
The Coral Sea near Australia was by far the best and I saw zero damage anywhere.
Visibility was 200ft and conditions were perfect.

I think the theory was an atmospheric deficit of carbon dioxide was being absorbed into the ocean, acidifying it and destroying the coral. Could it be that the deficit was due absorption by aquatic plants and plankton?
There is a youtube series about a young couple that explored the remote NE coast of Oz living from a 17’ open fishing boat for 4 months during covid. Most of the time they lived off of what they could catch from the water and drank coconut milk.
They visited the Reef many times and never once mentioned dying corals The videos of their dives are spectacular.
There is a huge problem with plastics washing up on the beaches of the most remote areas.
It’s worth a watch. And the woman is an Italian babe which makes them even better.

Try to go snorkeling at least once in your life. Those colors you see in that picture are nothing compared to what you see in real life.
Is this because of a single year of cool weather?
