FWIW, France has an enemedia, too. If this did take place, I can’t think of a single French media outlet that would be willing to report on it.
What’s interesting is that there have been no denials that I can find in the French enemedia.
They know the story is out there and are refusing to report on it, even to discredit it.
That makes me think something happened.

Even we have to be concerned about believing (and passing on) things only because something fits our own bias and not because it’s actually true. Everyone should try to do their own due diligence.
Leave it to the French to be the first ones over the wall. It’s been so long since they had Germans running their government directly that they feel it is time for a little revolution. Can’t wait to see this spread into action taken about the “No Go Zones” they have all over their country.

Maybe major American and French sources would want to suppress this story. But the UK papers would be all over it. There’s nothing from them.
