Biden spending over $2B to halt border wall construction amid migrant crisis

Turns out not building a wall is almost as costly as building one.

President Joe Biden is spending at least $3 million a day on contractors “to watch steel rust in the desert,” Senate Republicans have found — as he tries to put a stop to former President Trump’s planned wall along the US-Mexico border, despite the ongoing crisis there.

“President Biden is paying professional construction contractors to babysit metal to the tune of $2 billion and counting, while at the same time we’ve seen a 20-year high number of migrants crossing our open border,” said Sen. James Lankford (R., Okla.)

A report issued this week by GOP members of the Senate’s Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management found that at least 20 percent of the $10 billion received by the Pentagon for border wall construction has instead been spent on guarding construction sides and terminating active contracts.

With the termination process set to take up to 18 months to complete, the report found, the costs will keep adding up.

“This waste of taxpayer resources threatens military readiness and national security,” the report concluded.

Republicans and others have blamed the lack of border barriers, along with Biden’s lax admission policies, for a surge of illegal immigration in recent months.

This simple minded evil jack off is single handedly destroying the greatest country that ever existed. It took 245 years but he’s doing it before our eyes. When?

Let’s not delude ourselves. There is no more bipartisan issue in the swamp than open borders.

Is anyone surprised that Biden is allowing this crisis? Remember the surge under Obama?

Biden isn’t capable of comprehending what’s on his breakfast plate let alone the complexities of running our country. He regurgitates what he’s been told into word salads. We need to acknowledge that and say it at every opportunity.
Just saying.

Stephen Miller former advisor to Trump says:

It’s an Impeachable Offense for Biden to Resettle Large Numbers of Illegal Immigrants Across America

Well, I would argue that the appropriate constitutional remedy is Article IV, Section 4, which says that the government clearly has the obligation to protect any state in this country against invasion and domestic violence. It does not say that that has to be in the form of a nation-state actor. In other words, the Constitution doesn’t say it has to be a state-led invasion. It’s any large-scale, unwelcome, uninvited entry into a country. That, or into a state. That would provide the constitutional predicate for exactly what you’re describing. I would also suggest it would provide the constitutional predicate for the Supreme Court, if they had the moral courage, to strike down this entire scheme, which is a blatant violation of our entire constitutional Republican form of government. Let’s be very clear. When Joe Biden put his hand on the Bible and swore an oath to take care of the laws we faithfully executed, to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution, to ensure a Republican form of government to every state, he has violated every single one of those commitments. I will also add this: If that’s not an impeachable offense, I can’t imagine what would be.”

If the Pubbies had an effective marking and PR team, they'd be blaming the recent spike in the Delta variant on these illegals.....
