Kamala Harris is facing a steep uphill battle if she wants to succeed her boss Joe Biden in 2024.
Recent poll numbers show the vice president - and Biden's heir apparent - hovering at just 44.3 percent favorability, according to poll aggregator RealClearPolitics. Her unfavorability is slightly higher at 46.3 percent.
Plagued by years' worth of accounts of a toxic work culture under her watch, as well as her very public missteps while handling the monumental task of fixing the border crisis, Harris' weaknesses are even apparent to Biden's supporters.
A majority of people in almost every age group ranked the struggling vice president as 'very unfavorable,' according to a new YouGov survey. The exception was 18 to 29-year-olds, who mostly (32 percent) said their opinion of Harris was 'somewhat favorable.'
Only 13 percent of the same age group showed stronger support.
Data shows Harris' unpopularity is strongest among those aged 65 and up and white men without college degrees - with both numbers hovering above 50 percent.
The majority of both men and women surveyed ranked their opinion of Harris as 'very unfavorable' - 41 percent of males and 34 percent of females.
Less than half of Democrats surveyed (49 percent) found Harris 'very favorable,' while a whopping 87 percent of Republicans chose 'very unfavorable.'

No way she’s the frontrunner for 2024 - if Joe makes it to 2024, that is.
I am no fan of Kam-a-la-la-la.
BUT...
No way, no how, does less than 50 percent of any gender viewing the Ho as "unfavorable" constitute a "majority".
It would have been an absolutely TRIVIAL job...all they had to do was keep Trump's policies in place and finish the wall. Damn them all.
The fact that they appear to be negative for a high-ranking Democrat and the media has been instructed to publish them is very meaningful.
Some nasty conflict is going on within the ruling faction that installed Joe Biden as President. And Harris is looking unreliable in some way as the presumptive replacement when they finally must shuffle Biden off to the nursing home.
Wow. 44% is pretty good. I thought she’d get aybe 25%, the hard core among us who run (and ruin) everything.

look at the date and you can see where you misread it
I still believe it’s going to be Newsom. The press will do whatever they can to get him to prevail in the recall bid, then declare him to be “The Comeback Kid”.
Sorry, the data shows a plurality, not a majority.
Gotta hit ≥50% for the latter.
RE: Recent poll numbers show the vice president - and Biden’s heir apparent - hovering at just 44.3 percent favorability
I notice these Dems’ favorability never fall below 40% in any poll. Even Biden, whose policies are supposedly unpopular, has a favorability rating of “just” 49%.
Joe is gone within six months due to obvious organic brain syndrome. He has s—t for brains. Kamnala is totally not electable due to personality and lack of intellect and political beliefs.
What happens now?
Good grief. I would expect -44%.
She is merely emblematic of a far greater, debilitating and troubling phenomena. Wonder if the founders or for that matter any legitimate political science scholar ever envisioned or studied a culture that had so many bizarre post menopausal old ladies are in positions of power. Pelosi, Harris, Jackson, Duckworth, Hikomo, Sotomayer, Kagan, Feinstein,Cheney, Collins, Murkowsi, Lightfoot, Clinton and many, many more play critical, negative roles in governing in what had been a vibrant, strong productive, decent society. Decline and decay are inevitable.
44% . . . .who are these people anyway!!!!!
.
Trump derangement syndrome is responsibe for the 4 4%.
The same folks who scoffed at the “birthers” will find a way to make Kam-a-la-la-la ineligible just in the nick of time before applying the 25th against Sloe Xio.
They’ll pick a blue state Governor: Prime candidate = PA’s Tom Wolf.
Section 2 of the 25th amendment is about Vice President vacancies. Maybe the powers that be will get Harris to resign (perhaps over failure to manage her assignments, or some scandal over relations with her staff).
Then the Biden team will nominate a new Vice President with an eye towards that person stepping up when the 25th is turned on Biden himself.
