WTH are “coaching sessions”? Sounds like how CRT gets into the training schedule. I was in an artillery unit so we had weekends where we had to maintain skills on the howitzers with live fire plus other weekends for small arms qualifications. That generally left 8 weekends for other training, most of it required by regulation, like riot training.
