U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said his new Justice Department is focusing on five American cities to tackle illegal gun trafficking. On Thursday, while in Chicago, the official announced he’s sending gun trafficking strike forces to the Democrat-led cities of Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
In a statement, the attorney general noted, “all too often guns found at crime scenes come from hundreds or thousands of miles away.” The strike forces represent a bolstering of federal and local law enforcement seeking to disrupt the flow of unlawfully obtained firearms to the places they are ultimately used to commit crimes.
“We are going to try to focus as much of our attention on these problems, not only in Chicago, but in the rest of the country which is also experiencing similar problems,” Garland stated. “And we’re going to try and mesh it up with grants for communities to, as I said, prevent violence, to interrupt violence and to provide the kind of relationship between the police and community necessary to build trust.”

Gee, I thought they would go to places like Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, the Dakotas, or most parts of Texas or Tennessee with all of the deplorables and their guns.
If they hadn’t defunded the police, they could have had their own “strike force.”
I imagine they will consider going door-to-door in the white neighborhoods, removing all guns that could potentially be trafficked and cause trouble in the bad neighborhoods where people shoot each other every day.
If Trump had tried to do this, the mayors would have pitched a fit.
Yep, Garland is looking for another Ruby Ridge.
Yep, that is the Agenda
Trump would have arrested Criminals not Guns.
So DAMN OBVIOUS, isn't it?
Hopefully the Gun Trafficking Strike Force will be involved in shooting with a minority and we’ll see where it leads but my guess is they’ll only shoot white Trump supporters.
Here is a radical idea. Send those task forces to the border to stop gun trafficking by illegal aliens and smugglers. Even better stop the illegal aliens and smugglers, I can dream can’t I?
So they can crack down on those FFLs that don’t follow the law. They’re like everywhere. Apparently a lot of them in Indiana according to groot and the news about the Indiana gun show loophole. Or something. Finally we may get those 120 round colt 45 magazines off the street.
***I imagine they will consider going door-to-door***
I believe the police did this after Hurricane Katrina.

Remember, all they want is an excuse. Any excuse!
To facilitate the trafficking of illegal weapons to criminals?
I expect that’s their intent: start in the hotbeds of crime, find enough cases suitable to frame & skew numbers to justify going after “deplorable” areas, then declare sufficient danger to require practical elimination of gun sales in “Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, the Dakotas, or most parts of Texas or Tennessee”.
The Democrats have decided there’s too much political risk in real gun control so they’re going through the motions. And, realistically, their constituents are so dumb they’ll probably buy in to it. This is all for show.
“all too often guns found at crime scenes come from hundreds or thousands of miles away.”
Well yeah...there are no gun manufacturers in Chicago.
More and more movement towards a national police (SS/SA) force.
Biden is sending the armed US Capitol Police (jurisdiction: one big building in Wash DC, etc.) to “interdict” alleged “plots” === all across the country.
Obama armed dozens of purely civilian federal agencies. Obama wanted a “domestic federal army stronger than the one we send overseas”
a few years back, admittedly, most USA cities did not have huge skyscraper “federal buildings” filled up with (now, armed) “federal civil servants” or “federal police forces”
the frog is in the pot and the DemoNaziCommies keep raising the water temperature
