House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is considering adding anti-Trump Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) to the January 6 Select Committee, according to multiple reports.
This could be part of Pelosi’s plan to make the committee bipartisan. On Thursday, Pelosi said, “We have a bipartisan quorum, we can proceed,” when asked by an infamous CNN reporter if she has concerns about Republicans being pulled from the committee after she refused to allow Republican Reps. Jim Jordan (OH) and Jim Banks (IN) sit on the committee.
A report from Politico said Pelosi “would consider appointing more Republicans to the Jan. 6 probe, less than 24 hours after she nixed two vocally pro-Trump GOP lawmakers for the select panel.”
Politico continued:
The current sole GOP member of the panel, Rep. Liz Cheney, separately made clear that she would support two well-known additions to the committee: Kinzinger (R-Ill.), Cheney’s partner in conservative opposition to Donald Trump, and former Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-Va.), a possible pick as Cheney’s outside adviser in the investigation.
“We’ll see,” Pelosi told reporters when asked if she’d appoint more Republicans to serve alongside Cheney. “It’s not even bipartisan; it’s nonpartisan. It’s about seeking the truth and that’s what we owe the American people.”
Kinzinger discussed his desire to join the select panel with other lawmakers before Pelosi chose Cheney earlier this month, according to a person familiar with the conversations. He declined to comment Thursday when asked about his potential addition to the select panel, which is set to hold its first hearing next week with law enforcement responders during the siege of the Capitol by supporters of the former president.

I’d like to take a moment and thank all the Republican voters who voted for Chaney & Kinzinger. Without their support, we’d have real Democrats sitting on Pelosi’s kangaroo court, rather than them. They not only will condemn MAGA, but they will also provide a non-partisan cover story for the media.
The plan is another Trump bashing festival without opening the can of worms and revealing what really happened. Pelosi has to structure the committee very carefully, because one weak link could result in the truth spilling out and the evil deep state being outed. The inquiry has to be micromanaged to navigate around the truth. Jim Jordan would have been a disaster for the Democrats.
Just like everything else democrats do, it’s rigged. Their baseless claims can’t stand up to rigorous examination.

You are on the mark. The Dems have very little to run on. They are betting that keeping Trump fresh in the minds of their base will help them win in 2022.
Americans are stupid enough that it could work.

She will do it. She is intent on blaming Trump and wants to see him punished. She will delight in this and believe she is the star politician if she can bring him down.

The report on this has already been written and we all have a good idea of what its gonna say.....its ALL Trumps fault and he should be held responsible.
The “investigation” itself is nothing more than a means to an end.
After what I have seen in AZ and GA, I am not so sure they were actually elected by actual votes ...
It reminds me of that meeting early in Trump's presidency between Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer, where the two Democrats didn't like having the press present and Trump insisted the press stay.
If he goes on the committee, kick him out of the party along with Cheney. and let every Republican Rep know that they will be removed from leadership if they are in it, they will be removed from all committees, and if need be they will be kicked out of the party and the RNC will not be supporting their re-election.

The scared, nadless, do-nothing uniparty RINOs are the real problem. They never fight for anything. They watched as dems spied on and then set up a false prosecution of a duly elected Republican President. They had the House and the Senate and did absolutely nothing to hold the criminals in the DOUJ and FBM accountable. That gave their game away if it wasn’t obvious enough already.
The RINOs “fighting for you” fig leaf has wilted and shriveled beyond any use and they don’t have another. The dems will have their Jan 6th show trials and the RINOs will hide under their desks and stay quiet.
In America today Conservatives don’t have an organized political party that advances Conservative beliefs. The worthless RINOs don’t even speak in favor of sound, proven Conservative social and economic practices. Worse than useless.
See? We called it. Pelosi and the media already had this planned. She steps in and blocks McCarthy’s own selections to push a boycott of the committee, and she will select her own hand-picked “Republicans” to sit on the committee. They can have total control over the so-called “investigation” and narrative while still calling it “bipartisan” to give it a false legitimacy.
Her January 6 Committee will be a cover up for what she has caused evidence on her will appear by the republican who will form their own committee.

If a republican congresscritter accepts a seat at Nancy’s witch hunt the republican leader should strip them of all gop positions and deny them access to the gop caucus! It is time to start playing hardball!!!!
