So 74 is now a millenial? 😅👍
P.S. I see a lot of them as ‘moronials’. Obviously with exceptions.
What the heck is XT-Pro? Do you have a radio scanner you need to control?
Startpage is what I use.
I know that it uses goog to get some information, BUT
It claims to have a PRIVACY ADVANTAGE, SO I use it for that reason.
I don’t think you can find a search engine that doesn’t rely on goog.
NOW, THAT’S SCARY, but true.
You must be very careful when using them.
Also: I just picked up a 2015 laptop with 16gb of RAM, a 7th gen i& processor and a 250gb SSD for $100. If you shop carefully, you don’t need to spend thousands.
You should also know that increasingly sites will refuse to let you connect or run functions with very old versions of web browsers, so you’re going to see fewer and fewer sites letting you connect or letting you do things.
There are many search sites that don’t rely on Google, but most independent search sites are licensing major search engines’ databases, or simply connecting to them as a gateway. DuckDuckGo buys access to Bing and IIRC one or two others until and unless they can build their own web crawler networks and get their own data. Basically everyone licenses Google, Bing or a few others.
Roberson Cartridge = rccbrass.com
Wyoming Armory = Wyomingarmory.com
Rocky Mountain Cartridge = rockymountaincartridge.com

It’s as though Google SAW what was coming in the future and carefully gathered ALL THE INFORMATION IT COULD.
I know this sounds silly, but OTHER SEARCH ENGINES CAN TRY TO BEAT THEM all they want.
The fact remains, in my mind, google has it ALL.
That parasitic Indian who runs it was just too clever.
I completely disagree. It’s even worse for non-politics. It’s hard to find much beyond very superficial results today. Ten years ago search engines were much better. Today, it’s the same ten results, then you can’t find anything.
Are there any good search engines? I did some investigation a few months ago and none of them were good.
Try robertrtg.com for gun parts. They’re especially goir fir combloc and military surplus parts.

Thing is, that data isn’t exclusive. Other companies can go and build equally extensive search databases, to the limits of the money they want to spend on it. Google does not have exclusive access to that - they’re not blocking others out. As of today, they *can’t* block anyone else out.
But nobody seems to be interested in spending the money to build a Google-crushing search engine. Other big companies that could have either treated search as a sideline or ignored Google until it was far too late.
.
I know, and I believe you.
But, can’t they...the powers that be...see that it is important...urgent...existential that information be given in an unbiased way. All one wants are the FACTS.
Where can one go for that.
I hope there is some foresight in some that will recognize the NEED for just facts and form a new SEARCH ENGINE.
I noticed that StartPage has had better results lately. Today, I got a set of absolute garbage results from DDG.
Have you considered checking your keyboard function? Caps lock seems to be getting stuck on at random intervals. :P
It’s not just a question of people ‘forming a new search engine’ but the investment of literal billions and billions of dollars and headhunting the best programmers, then not getting a return on investment for the better part of a decade. There is a lot of hardware and personnel required to do this.
How droll...your advising me to check my caps.
NO that’s the way I talk. I have inflections in my voice.
Some people don’t. They are boring...BORING.
Sorry and sorry for my enthusiasm.
I don’t care how many millions of dollars it would take to get the FACTS...just the facts.
That’s my beef, in a nutshell.
Try RightDow for a search engine.
Other options:
Ungoogle
Yippy
Yahoo
Mojeek
Presearch
Brave Search
Yandex
I tried your Qwant by adding extension to make it default search engine in my Firefox. I tried to search "dr bryan ardis said 600,000 already died from covid injection" on Qwant, it only return some .gov and fact-checkers. No good. So I deleted the Qwant extension and put back DuckDuckGo as default search engine. Good luck with that Qwant.
