G, Mich. (AP) — Republican ex-Detroit Police Chief James Craig all but launched his campaign for governor on Wednesday, seeking to become Michigan’s first Black governor with a “law-and-order” message and emphasis on leadership.
Craig, the eighth Republican to form a candidate committee, is the best known and is considered a serious contender, albeit untested in electoral politics. A former Democrat, the 61-year-old would be just the second Black major-party gubernatorial nominee if he wins the 2022 primary and faces Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

There are essentially two types of black Americans: those who love this country for what it always has been, and those who are welfare piglets looking to destroy it for a quick meal.
The former is in the extreme minority.

I don't know if he is good or not, but the Left seems to be scared of him. I saw an article here yesterday stating that generic Republican is outpolling Whitmer, but Whitmer wins against Craig specifically.
I don't know if the article is true or not, but it does smack of desperation to keep Craig off the ballot.

Your mistake is relying on a government source for your “facts.”
95% of the black voting population votes exclusively democrat. That, by definition, is being a welfare piglet.
Hard to trust someone who was a Demonrat most of their adult life and only became a Rep when forced when appointed for a job.

Thats simply not true, I’ve known lots of black people and am proud to call many of them friends, and very few that I’ve know would support BLM or cry for reperations. The vast majority of black Americans who live outside the inner city ghettos, which is about 2/3rds of the black population are very patriotic and love the US and our flag and all that goes with it. The problem is your opinion is skewed because the only black people who make news are either entertainers and criminals, the vast majority who wake up every day and go to work, pay their bills and provide for their family are never mentioned because they do not live a life the left can exploit for its own political gain.
