Geologist Dr. Roger Higgs (DPhil, Oxford, Geology, of geoclastica.com) has just released a new takedown of the anthropogenic global warming scam. Below is a summation of his findings–which you can find in full over at ResearchGate (Technical Note 2021-5).
In what Dr Higgs calls yet another manipulation of the data, in early 2021, NASA discreetly lowered the 2016 global average temperature –previously the highest on record– to make the year 2020 seem like the hottest.
NASA play these ‘games of adjustment’ all the time, and each and every time, without fail, their tweaks support the man-made global warming narrative.
Below are copies of NASA’s 1880-2020 global temperature chart ‘before & after’ their most recent “adjustment”
This is a subtle change, but one crucial to maintaining the AGW narrative.
By reducing 2016’s annual temperature, government bodies have taken control of reality — they are able to fool the unquestioning masses into believing global average temperatures are linearly increasing and have increased since 2016, when the very opposite is true.
In actual reality –where those that apply critical thinking and logic reside– Earth’s temperature has dropped by approx. 0.7C since 2016 — this plunge is best reflected in datasets which aren’t subject to government data-fudging adjustments, such as the UAH satellite, which is maintained by former NASA scientist Dr. Roy Spencer:

NASA gets a budget for the “Global Warming” farce.
Of course they renamed in “Climate Change” because things aren’t warming as predicted and with climate change you can claim floods, tornados, fires, drought, hurricanes, anything to be a result of the changing climate. of course climate is always changing anyhow, so with the rebranded “climate change” they cannot be wrong anymore!
Personally, I would be embarrassed to even have my name associated with this crap. But money makes the world go around and NASA pays very well.
Of course the higher ups, those that run the show at NASA are also politicians, just like every other government agency or department. Right now, “climate change” is in vogue again, so they are going to feed their political masters what they want to hear and advertise to the public. Remember Obama’s “Muslim outreach” as part of NASA? Yeah... all of these government agencies are just stooges for their political masters.
Of course NASA had to “adjust” the numbers. Those data points aren’t going to change themselves. Gotta support the narrative, science and truth be damned.
To think that these people were my childhood heroes back in the late 60’s and 70’s. NASA was a place where everybody was revered. Now, not so much.
NASA is doing what they had to do to survive — pivot.
When folks in the ‘70s lost interest in a heroic, patriotic space program, NASA realized they needed to pander to the money lenders to stay alive. Now, they’ll keep doing what they have to in order to keep the money flowing.

Not anymore. CLIMATE CRISIS is the current boogeyman.
That is on a local level. Most places on earth do not even have temperature recordings. The earth is that vast. You have to wonder what garbage data these scientists use as input to their models. I highly doubt that when scientists examine historic temperature data that they take into account accuracy of instrumentation or changes in the local environment, e.g., a local grass airfield turned into a paved runway international airport.
Then scientists rely on ice cores and fossilized tree rings for ancient temperature records. To what degree of accuracy are their estimates. They are estimates since no one was around to collect actual temperatures to compare to ice cores. (Note: even thermometers provide estimates and have a margin of error. Anything you measure in science is an estimate.) Obviously, there are very few ice cores to create anything of statistical consequence. Scientists certainly do not have ice cores from the last ice age when glaciers reached Pennsylvania. Vast parts of the Earth were covered in ice, and then that ice melted. It continues to melt. That's what happens when the earth is not in the midst of an ice age.
All of this doom and gloom over a couple C temperature difference, that has to be in the statistical margin of error because of a lack of sample size, mixed methods of temperature estimation, and changes to weather station environments. It is clear indication to me that these are not scientists, but cultists of scientism. We can thank illiterate teachers and their inability to grasp basic statistics and science while they indoctrinate generations with pseudoscience.
Remember that NASA was muslim outreach under Obcornho. Not one agency left that isn’t corrupted.

It’s hot on the west coast and mostly cold and wet on the east coast and the east coast was killing their numbers ?
One can get the raw vs adjusted data. Its a kind of pseudo secret. Officially they don’t hide that they adjust it, and they provide arguments as to why the adjustments are warranted. On the other hand their adjustments are bunk and Tony Heller has demonstrated it many times in his videos. The gripping hand is that they don’t advertise these adjustments and seem to want people to assume the adjusted data is just the raw real data and to take it as fact without learning the truth.
Please stay out of the weather business and stick to space travel.
