I’ve been getting several texts lately asking “Can I call you?”. Anybody know anything about these messages? I have not answered any of them.
I get weird ones from time to time. “Sorry I missed your call” to more explicit ones from “Maya” wanting have sex with me. I NEVER click on any link. never do that.
IIRC, it is an attempt to get you to say/reply “yes.”. The capture is then spliced into a context where you consent to any number of bad things. It used to be just voice but has likely spilled over into text. Never say/text “yes” to unsolicited contacts.
