Student Who Fled Venezuela Exposes Fidel Castro Quote at Penn State

There may be a different regime in Cuba now, but the murderous dictatorship of Fidel Castro is still being felt, while the people there protest for their freedom from Communism. And while it will be taken down, a quote from Castro remains at Penn State. The effort to expose and remove it was thanks to Erik Suarez, a 22-year old student there who escaped Venezuela, as Luca Miraldi with Campus Reform reported.

The quote attributed to the dictator appears in the Paul Robeson Cultural Center, which according to the school website describes itself in part as:

The Paul Robeson Cultural Center provides programs and support services to encourage and cultivate the appreciation and celebration of the diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultures of many under-represented communities at Penn State.

...

We regularly host center activities, such as Fun Friday (food, music, etc.), discussion groups, game tournaments (connect four, spades, etc.), movie days, and more in the center. We also encourage students to attend our programs and events, including speakers, learning circles, book clubs, open forums, and commUNITY hours.

"The equal right of all citizens to health, education, work, food, security, culture, science, and wellbeing - that is, the same rights we proclaimed when we began our struggle, in addition to those which emerge from our dreams of justice and equality for all inhabitants of our world - is what I wish for all," is the quote.

Paul Robeson who admired Joe Stalin, who sent one of Robeson’s friends off to the Gulags. Another entertainer who should have stuck to his singing and acting.

Stalinists lie. Always

From wikipedia:
Robeson traveled to Moscow in June, and tried to find Itzik Feffer. He let Soviet authorities know that he wanted to see him.[209] Reluctant to lose Robeson as a propagandist for the Soviet Union,[210] the Soviets brought Feffer from prison to him. Feffer told him that Mikhoels had been murdered, and he would be summarily executed.[211] To protect the Soviet Union’s reputation,[212] and to keep the right wing of the United States from gaining the moral high ground, Robeson denied that any persecution existed in the Soviet Union,[213] and kept the meeting secret for the rest of his life, except from his son.[212]

Only a left leaning, no, make that Communist infested, University would have a place on campus named after Paul Robeson, a black commie football player who could sing!
The political trumps, no, obliterates the cultural.
Robeson is a bad example.

“Only a left leaning, no, make that Communist infested, University would have a place on campus named after Paul Robeson, a black commie football player…”

I’m afraid it’s not the only place. There are more communists in Princeton, NJ than possibly the whole State of Pennsylvania!

There’s a street, downtown Princeton, that’s named after him. And;

“A model and visual displays set out at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts” (Princeton University)

It must be the year of the communists!

Yes, it was a lie but a lot of people believed it. Fidel was celebrated in the USA after the revolution, interviewed by Edward R. Murrow, etc. My Cuban father-in-law believed it and participated in the revolution, even becoming a part of Castro's government. But it didn't take him long to realize what Castro really was, getting his family out and then himself as quickly as possible. Batista was a dictator but nowhere near as bad as Fidel and his henchman Che.

All of what is mentioned in the quote is what I see him and Che Guevara sitting on a cabin cruiser enjoying while the poor people in cuba driving a rotting old 53 Chevy and in old clothes and hungry back inland without all those items mentioned in the quote. He was just a greedy man with delusions, the same as Che Guevara. Che Guevara got what he deserved, but no so with Fidel Castro. Castro enjoyed all the amentities that were denied to the poor Cubans. Castro lived protected by those around him who also got to enjoy those spoils until his death. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes cannot see this because of her impaired IQ. She does not even have what some of us have been endowed with.

Paul Robeson was a secret member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) as well as being a KGB operating asset, esp. in their “disinformation/misinformation” programs. He did this along with longtime identified CPUSA and Australian CP member Harry Bridges of the ILWU (International
Longshoremen and Workers Union, still red today).

Robeson and Bridges had a major role in getting Frank Marshall Davis (of Obama family friendship fame) to go to Hawaii to write pro-communist columns for the Red controlled Honolulu Record.

A lot of this is documented in:

* HCUA hearings, re “Testimony of Manning Johnson”:

- “HCUA, 7/14/49, Hearings Regarding Communist infiltration of minority groups, Pt II”, d. 497 - 521
- HCUA, Investigation of Communist Activities within the New York City Area, part 7, based on the testimony of Manning Johnson, 7/08/53

HCUA hearings re Hawaii, has occasional mention of Frank Marshall Davis:

* “Hearings regarding Communist activities in the territory of Hawaii, Part I, II, II, IV, dates ranging from April 10, 1950 - July 6, 1951, HCUA and SISS below:

* “Scope of Soviet activity in the United States” series, Paarts 40-41 A/III, 1956, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, Sen. Judiciary Committee
* Prof. Paul Kengor, book on Frank Marshall Davis (and Obama). Don’t have my copy available.

“But he could sing well!”

I don’t remember hearing Robeson sing. I only know that he could sing, not how well or how poorly he could sing.

So, have you heard him sing?
